During our recent Terengganu trip, we were taken to the City of Lights – the Petronas gas processing plant in Kerteh. I’ve never seen something this beautiful in my life. Too bad the bus are not allowed to stop for us to take pictures. We are not even allowed to take pictures of the plant actually. It was after midnight after our Kelip-Kelip trip and some of us are already asleep in the bus. I [...]

The last we stepped foot in Terengganu was last year when we flew to Kuala Terengganu to go to Pulau Redang. We did not do much there then as we spent most of our time in Redang. Approximately 5 hour drive from KL, it wasn’t that bad as we stopped [...]

Lemang Kijal
What is lemang? Lemang is a traditional malay food that is made of glutinous rice and cooked in hallowed bamboo stick lined with banana leaves in order to prevent the rice from sticking to the bamboo. Usually prepared for festivities such as the Muslim Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Hari Raya Aidiladha, we found lemang in abundance EVERYDAY here in Terengganu during our trip to Awana Kijal, Golf, Beach & [...]

Satar – Terengganu’s Local Delicacy
During our stay in Awana Kijal Golf, Beach and Spa Resort, the staffs there kept on raving about a certain fish snack called satar. They kept asking us if we’ve tried it. Honestly speaking, I’ve never heard of such a snack. When I knew I am going to Terengganu, the first thing that came to mind is keropok lekor and nasi dagang but definitely not satar as I am not even aware of its existence. [...]

It’s Ethan’s birthday weekend so we decided to go up to Genting! We are lucky to be living just an hour away from Genting. Anytime we feel like it, we can just take the car and drive up. Unlike our previous trip where we took the cable car just to let the kids experience the ride, this time we drove straight up to Genting. It was that cold when we arrived shortly before noon. Flying Firefly to Kuala Terengganu
When Darling first decided to go to Redang Island for our holiday, he contemplated flying either AirAsia, Berjaya or Firefly. Taking a bus to Kuala Terengganu is totally out of the question-lah for yours truly here gets travel sickness like nobody’s business. We wanted to take Berjaya so that we can skip the bus part and straight board the boat to Redang. But Berjaya was extremely expensive for our choice of dates. It was almost [...]

Since Darling is just ‘discovering scuba’ and will be diving with no license whatsoever, he was charged RM160 for equipment and coaching. I wanted to try too but the gas tank is very heavy hence I chickened-out [...]
