When the stress reliever causes more stress
I’ve mentioned this countless times – how playground time is important for us. It is especially important during exam weeks as Ethan goes there to release stress. We went to the playground as usual today. I got my dose of exercise too from jogging and utilizing the playground equipment such as this monkey bar: Can you see my little supporter there? So nice to have someone cheering me on when my arms are already feeling like […]

Playground Maintenance
We’ve been frequenting this playground since big brother Ethan was a baby. The moment I was out of confinement I started to bring him here, until today together with lil brother Ayden. This was big brother Ethan when he was 17 months old. This was lil bro Ayden when he was 2 years old. You can see that the equipment in the playground had obviously been vandalised over the years. That was back in 2015. […]

Evening routine
We look forward to playground time every day. It is our favourite time of the day where the big brother plays with his friends from the neighbourhood while little Ayden explores and spends more time with me. Once the daddy is back from work, he’ll join us, taking over Ayden and I’ll get to go for my 2.5km jog. After I get my heart pumping and work out some sweat, I’ll play with Ayden again and the […]

BeeBop Circus – Learn Through Play
I used to not be in favour of indoor kids’ gym simply because I prefer my kids to sweat it out in open-air playgrounds with abundance of fresh air. Unfortunately this year, we are affected badly by the haze. I know the haze is an annual recurring issue but we are experiencing the worst haze ever this time around with schools being closed and kids are advised to stay indoors. But how long can we […]

Back to the playground
The haze has gone into hiding and school is back on as usual. Ayden and I resumed our daily playground routine but this time we are on our own without big brother Ethan around as he is at school. It has been a week Ayden goes without his diapers to the playground and he is doing great. I observed a funny incident though. Last time with diapers, he love to go down the slide flat […]

Back to School
After a week long of school holidays and an additional day off yesterday thanx to the haze, it is finally back to school for Ethan. Honestly speaking, I was dreading the Monday to Friday that I was supposed to spend with both Ethan and Ayden at home. The boys, when spending time together for far too long can be quite handful but thankfully this time, both were very well behaved. They played together most of […]

Vandalism
We’ve been staying here from the moment they completed this housing project until today. Been over a decade I think. Ethan frequent the playground often when he was younger. It was nicer back then. These days it is not so nice anymore. Most of the equipments in the playground has fallen victims to vandalism. Poor Ayden. He can’t really enjoy the playground as much as Ethan had. See? His head pops out from the slide like […]

Injured
The other day, I brought both the boys to the playground. They were both running when Ethan tripped and fell. His knee started to bleed. Ayden squatted there quietly looking at his big brother in pain while I called the Daddy (who was at home) to come over with our First Aid Kit. I cleaned up Ethan’s wound and brought the kids home. But look who got plastered all over instead? LoL! This Ayden sibok […]

It’s Raining Balls
We were at the playground today when Ayden spotted tiny little balls on the grass. They were everywhere! He collected quite a number of them and brought them home. I kept them in a bottle. Now, does anybody know what those are? I do but I just want to see if you know too :P

A little bit of sunshine and fresh air
It’s not easy being a stay at home mother. You’ll need strong mental health to survive. Staring at the 4 walls with never ending chores everyday can drive anyone crazy. I had it tough when I first gave up my job to be a SAHM but I am all good now. I know what to expect and my mind is ready for it. BUT I still have my down and crazy days especially on those […]

Kids Zone @ The Curve
Ayden and I have been down with boredom at home as it had been raining in the evenings the past weeks making us unable to get out for sunshine and fresh air. Finally I can’t take it anymore and told Darling to drop us in any shopping mall on his way to work. It is also my first time bringing Ayden out alone, without the father and big brother Ethan. Darling dropped us in IKEA […]

When You Are Ball Less
Having balls is very important. People look up to you if you have a ball or better still, balls coz they want to share share play with you. If you are ball less without a ball you will get bored easily. There’s only so much you can do on the playground equipment. Sometimes, it is nice to run around and kick some balls. But what do you do on days when you don’t have your […]

Toddler Gym vs Playground
I’m writing this post because while I was shopping last weekend, I was approached by some very persuasive sales person insisting for me to sign Ayden up for their toddler gym. I don’t get it why we need to fork out a fortune just for our toddler to run around trying to sweat it out in an indoor playground with aircond. Why can’t we just bring them to the outdoor playground with sunshine and fresh […]

Would you let your kid play in puddles?
Ethan loves watching Upin dan Ipin. Actually I love watching them too as they feature the life and adventures of the good old kampung lifestyle. Just the other day, we were watching an episode where the cute twins went fishing and Ethan asked me, “Mommy, how come we never go fishing? How come we never do what they do?” I did not know what to answer him. I did whatever Upin and Ipin did but […]

Fascination with Dried Leaves
Ever since Ayden started walking, he won’t want me to carry him in the playground anymore. He’ll want to explore and touch every single thing. I find it cute, exactly like Ethan. I brought Ethan to the playground every day too when he was as young as Ayden and continued until this year when he started school in the evening session so he doesn’t have time to go to the playground during weekdays anymore. Pity […]

Best playground hunt: Setia EcoHill Park
It’s been a while since we last spotted a nice playground to be featured in our ‘Best Playground’ series. We had previously featured the playgrounds in Pusat Sains Negara and Desa Park City in our blog. The playground we are featuring today is located at Setia EcoHill Park, Semenyih. The ParC, Setia EcoHill, Semenyih Ethan and most of the boys in the park love climbing here. While the older children hang around this cool looking ‘cage’. […]

Best playground hunt: Pusat Sains Negara
One of the BEST playground around has got to be the one in Desa Park City. I’ve blogged about it last year. Read more about the playground in Desa Park City. Last week, we were in Pusat Sains Negara for a recording session and the recording happens to be outdoor in the playground. The place was actually closed to public on that day hence the ’empty’ park you see in my pictures. I was impressed […]

Best playground hunt : Desa ParkCity
Play is very important to a child. A child can learn so much more through play than in the confinement of a classroom. I love bringing Ethan to the playground for that is the time I can really take my mind off ‘work’ and exercise a little. I not only bring him to the playground at home but also to other playgrounds in the Klang Valley. Of the many playgrounds we have been to, I […]

Language is no barrier
To me, play is very important for Ethan. I try to bring him to the playground every day if we are at home. Sometimes the weather doesn’t permit us to do so but on good days we spend our evenings in the playground, soaking in some sunshine, filling our lungs with fresh air and treating our eyes to the lush greenery around us. Ethan used to play with our neighbour’s kids but their Mom made a new […]

Leave me alone, just don’t LOVE me no more..
I love to jog in the playground in the evenings (or sometimes in the mornings). I’ll do my best to arrange my time so that I can jog at least two to three times weekly. Even a brisk walk will do, as long as Ethan and I are able to get some fresh air and sunshine. Working out makes me feel sexy within :D But there’s ONE thing I dislike about exercising in the playground… […]

Sunny Sandy Style
Ethan and I look forward to the evenings very much for that is the time we can shout, “FREEDOM!” hehe.. That is our playground time. A time for some sun and breeze! It is also a time to get dirty… Sand play! Ethan and my neighbour’s boys. One is six months older than Ethan and another is three months younger than him. So basically they are all of the same age range! What’s with the […]
