Our ONE Resort THREE Theme Parks Holiday at Pulai Springs Resort, Johor Bahru

It is the year end school holidays. Time to reward ourselves for all the hard work throughout the year. The haze has affected us badly the past months, so much so that we are afraid to book flights in case the condition got worse and flights needed to be cancelled or delayed. We decided to go somewhere we can drive so that we can make last minute changes in case the haze makes a comeback or anything.

We decided to go down south as we have never been to Legoland. We took advantage of Pulai Springs Resort’s current Legoland® Malaysia Holiday Package. You can check out their attractive packages here -> Legoland® Malaysia Holiday Package

Since we are already going to be in JB, we thought why not drive over to Singapore and bring the kids to Universal Studio as Ayden has never been there? We checked out the hotel rates in Singapore and because of our weak currency, it can be pretty costly to put up a night there. I then decided to extend our stay in Pulai Springs Resort for another night to accommodate our day trip to Singapore.

It is not our first time here. We were here back in 2012 and it was good enough to make us want to return.

We got ourselves a 2 bedroom suite throughout our 4D/3N stay. The suite features modern designs and furnishings for a relaxing and a “home away from home” feel.

The spacious living hall. The kids got glued to Astro channel on the flatscreen TV the moment we checked into our suite.

Each room comes attached with a bathroom with separate shower and toilet with a walk-in dressing room. There is a hairdryer and complete toiletries in each bathroom.

Separate shower cubicle.

Walk-in dressing room with ironing and shoe polish facilities.

Full-size executive writing desk.

We got complimentary broadband internet access / WiFi throughout our stay.

Our suite comes with a magnificent view of the golf course and the swimming pool.

There are many swimming pools in the resort. The one that we see from our suite is located on Level 2 of Cinta Ayu All Suites, overlooking the beautiful golf course.

There are three resort-pools at the Clubhouse which comprises of a lap pool, a Kid’s Pool with a rock island water slide and rock showers and a horizon pool.

Koi fish pond. The boys can stand here for hours just looking at those beautiful koi fish.

Beside the swimming pools, we also have full access to the gymnasium, indoor swimming pool and the Jacuzzi. I did not take pictures of the gym and indoor swimming pool as there are many other guests there. I do not want to invade their privacy.

I did however managed to take a picture of their beautiful Jacuzzi when no one was around.

On our first day here, it was pampering session for the adults as the next day onwards are all dedicated for the kids to go theme park exploration.

I went for a 60 minutes body massage at RM148nett at The Pulai Spa.

balinese spa

The Pulai Spa treatments are inspired by traditional Balinese healing philosophies. My massage therapist did a wonderful job kneading and soothing my aching shoulders and neck due to my long hours sitting in front of the computer. I feel rejuvenated after the massage session.

The kids spent their time in the Sport Centre while I was indulging in my pampering session.

LoL! Somebody please give this boy an apple!

There are also colourful rainbow bicycles if you love cycling.

The boys super love the buggy rides around the resort.

On our second day here, we wake up early to have breakfast at Cinta Terrace and proceeded to Legoland.

This is our ride to Legoland. We took advantage of their package that includes transportation to and fro.

Legoland

Finally, our first time stepping foot in Legoland.

Legoland Christmas

It is already Christmasy in Legoland.

We spent the entire day in Legoland. More about it in a separate post.

By the time we arrived back in the hotel, we are dead tired. We did not want to drive out for dinner so we had dinner at their award-winning Qing Palace Chinese Restaurant.

Qing Palace

Qing Palace was also voted Best Restaurant in Johor Bahru by the Tourism Johor in 2012. We ordered many of their signature dishes. I’ll blog about our delectable dinner in a separate post.

On our third day, we woke up even earlier to drive to Universal Studio Singapore. It takes a little over an hour from Pulai Springs Resort to USS. You can read about our driving into Singapore experience in my write-up here -> Driving Into Singapore.

USS picture

It was Ayden’s first time in Universal Studio, Singapore and he loves it here. Big brother Ethan enjoys it more this time as he can ride on more rides. He rode on the Transformer ride twice. I’ve blogged about our trip to Universal Studio Singapore. Do take a look at our write up here -> Universal Studio Singapore.

By the time we got back from Singapore, it was already late. We did not want to drive out again so we had dinner at Cinta Terrace this time. It is located on Level 2 at Cinta Ayu. Our suite is on Level 3 so it is just a walk down.

Cinta Terrace

Cinta Terrace is also the place where we had our daily breakfast overlooking the gorgeous swimming pool and golf course.

Daily breakfast with a wonderful view.

By now, it is already the fourth day. We went for a swim in the morning before checking-out.

Pulai swimming pool

A hotel stay won’t be official until the kids get to swim in the pool :)

We took our lunch at Cinta Terrace again before checking out.

After lunch and check out, we drive to Nusajaya to Hello Kitty Sanrio town.

Hello Kitty Sanrio Town

We did not spend much time here though as this place did not fascinate the boys *obviously!*

Overall, I think we planned well. We had a very fulfilling 4 days 3 nights holiday. Our decision to stay at Pulai Springs Resort is a wise one as it is only 30 minutes away from Legoland and Hello Kitty Sanrio Town. It is also only slightly over an hour drive to Singapore.

They also have a very beautiful golf course here.

pulai golf course

Too bad we don’t play golf but it does make a nice background for a beautiful family portrait :D

We made many beautiful memories here and wished that our holiday will never end :P

    Long summary~~
Looking forward to the detailed post!

What a smart way to have a good vacation, stay in Johor and go over to Singapore on a day trip.

    • //

It was the Daddy’s idea. I was busy looking through Singapore hotels when he suggested for us to extend another night in Johor. I asked if he dares to drive into Spore and he said it is a new adventure and I’m glad we did :D

  • //

Wow…perhaps I should do something as well instead of staying in Singapore right? Stay in Johor and go to Singapore. That should be relatively cheaper. :)

    • //

Oh yes! Especially since you are in Malacca, nearer to Johor. You can actually just drive from Malacca to Spore.

  • //

Oooooo…I love the bedroom suite, looks like home away from home. Very nice. Hmmmmm…I wonder if I can still ride a bicycle…been years and years since I jumped on one. LOL!!!

    • //

Hahaha! Please do not jump onto a bicycle! LoL!

The suite is lovely. Very homely and spacious. Ample space for the boys to run around.
