Movement Control Order in Malaysia | Road closure

It’s 11 days into MCO yet some people are still not heeding the call to stay at home. For folks in PJ, police here have closed several major roads into the district as part of the movement control order (MCO).  The affected roads are Persiaran Mahogani Seksyen 9, Persiaran Jati Seksyen 8 and Persiaran Sungai Buloh which are around the Kota Damansara area. Jalan Gasing road bordering Kuala Lumpur has also been closed. This means […]

Heart Shaped Red Traffic Light

So there we were at the traffic light at 1 Utama yesterday evening when Darling spotted this heart shaped red light.  I told him a couple of days earlier that these red hearts has been spotted around the Klang Valley recently but he just brushed me off saying it must be some prank or something until he sees it with his own eyes and starts to wonder. I googled for more info and that’s when […]

Escalating electricity tariff: Energy saving appliances

As we marvelled at the beautiful fireworks decorating the sky ushering the new year 2014, we are in fact also welcoming new electric tariff. The new electricity tariff is now as high as the fireworks can go! My sleeping child Ayden, oblivious to the escalating standard of living surrounding him. If you’re friends with me on Facebook, you’ll know that I recently posted the picture of my ‘kaput-ed’ aircond in the master bedroom. Thank goodness […]

What to do during the haze

I think we’ve never experienced haze as terrible as we did the past few days.  With majority of schools closed due to the haze, we still send Ethan to kindy as usual the past two days as his school is a corner lot house with full air-conditioned and is operating as usual minus the outdoor activities. Today, Ethan was supposed to go for his BaoBei class too in the evening but he told us that […]

Blogging for FUN? Think again..

Most of us started blogging innocently to pen our daily happenings, milestones, personal rantings and more while there are those who started blogging professionally and then there are those who blogs politically. While I love the freedom of speech here in my very own blog, the recently passed Evidence (Amendment) (No 2) Act 2012, whereby internet users are held liable for any content posted through their registered networks or data processing device, is SCARY! It’s […]

Lock My Flush

Public toilet ain’t exactly the best place I like to be in unless it is really necessary. And when the time comes that I seriously needed to go to one, I’ll do my best to minimize the things that I touch along the way knowing how WET and FILTHY public washrooms are in Malaysia! When people say that washrooms can be the most dangerous room in a house or any other places, I totally agree […]

Ramadan TV Ads – Controversial and “Racist” TV Ad

If you’ve been reading my post, you’ll notice that I’ve posted several Ramadhan food reviews lately. In all these reviews (except one), I did my entries bilingual in respect of my Malay readers. Today, I went for another Ramadhan food review. It was different this time around as unlike those Ramadhan food reviews in the past weeks, this time around the Muslims are already fasting. It was okay when I went around taking snapshots of […]

Kia Sportage’s controversial ad

The all-new Kia Sportage was launched recently. The SUV is priced at RM138,888 (OTR with insurance). Darling loves the sporty look of this Sportage. If you must know, in my opinion the previous generations of Sportages doesn’t go well look wise… Look who’s testing the all-new Kia Sportage? :D Kia Sportage – Front View Integrated LED turn signals on the side mirrors but all I see here is Ethan! LoL! :P Kia Sportage – Side view. The […]
