Olympic Badminton Final : Dato’ Lee Chong Wei vs Lin Dan LIVE Screening Party
Dato’ Lee Chong Wei is Samsung’s brand ambassador. The moment he won the match against Chen Long, Samsung arranged for a LIVE screening for the Olympics’ Badminton Finals for the fans to get together and show our support towards Dato’ Lee Chong Wei.
Thanx to Nuffnang, together with many other Nuffnang bloggers, we made our way to Laundry, the Curve today.
Darling and Ethan showing their support for Dato’ Lee Chong Wei :D
Me with some of the early birds, Elwyn, Kian Fai and Daniel. We were there very, very early. I was there since 3pm! Actually we went there early to catch a movie before the LIVE screening ^_^
Ethan had the Malaysian flag painted on his face. Patriotism at top notch this evening.
Media photographers swarm Ethan after he got his face painted! He enjoys the attention and waved our Malaysian flag excitedly :)
Food and drinks were served before the game. Beer was also free flow throughout the game. This has got to be the BEST way to catch the Olympic Badminton Finals!
We cheered. We really cheered when Datuk Lee Chong Wei won the first game 21-15 against his arch rival Lin Dan.
We continued cheering eventhough he lost the second game 10-21 and continued cheering even louder during the deciding set. Heart skipped a beat several times throughout the game as both players fought point for point before Lin Dan snatched victory.
Nevertheless, Dato’ Lee Chong Wei is still our HERO. He definitely played a better game than the Beijing edition 4 years ago.
Congratulations Dato’ Lee Chong Wei for bringing home our very first medal this Olympics. You brought the entire nation together during that 79 minutes of your awesome play. Together we were united for one purpose and one purpose only – free Baskin Robins ice-cream cheering for our true champion.
Dato’ Lee Chong Wei, you made us proud tonight. Thank you!

Yes ! He make us proud ! =D
So proud of our dearest dato :D Malaysia <3!!
He has done so well :))
that match felt like it lasted for decades! amazing match and we are proud of him!
I really feel sad for him cos he deserved the gold. I was so devastated when that lin dan won and start his arrogance antics. He’s our hero!!
Really great game that he has played. I’m sure in the heart of his many supporters, he’s already the ‘gold winner’ with his ‘all out’ effort put into yesterday game.
Last night games were really hearthrobing. I wanted to cry when seeing him so sad. Pity him, he is really our hero.
Yes, he has made us proud of him. He is still our badminton hero! It must be fun watching the game live with a group of supporters!
He was so near to the GOLD and fought well~
We are so proud, LCW!
so touching…politic can’t united the people, but HE can!
He did well, tried his very best and is a winner in everyone’s hearts. Should be proud of him…and it makes me sad that to see people badmouthing him on Facebook over what they claim is his political inclination. Those fanatics are obsessed – they will never see good in anything! Tsk! Tsk!
He played badly in the final in the last Olympics – I was so disgusted that I switched off the tv halfway, refusing to watch…but this time around, I watched the whole match, praying and hoping that he would grab the gold. Too bad it was not meant to be…
I’m so proud of Chong Wei! he did his best, with no regrets! :)
haha Ethan like a young celebrity shooting by all the paparazzi. I watched the match too, very proud of our Hero Dato LCW.
He gave a good game to Lin Dan, nearly won the gold, respect.
DLCW is good yo :) is always good in our Malaysian heart
