Our Evening of Video Recording

Our Saturday started off as usual with Ethan going for his Taekwando class and returning home excitedly with his green belt. He’s a green belt now. That is equivalent to Green Lantern. Before this he was a Minion (yellow belt) :P After that he showered, took a quick lunch and we hurried off to Westin KL for a video shoot for a client. I shall not divulge more about it until the video or the product is […]

Meeting the In-Laws

Yesterday, we accompanied my father in-law to his daughter’s wedding food tasting. It was also my first time meeting her parents in-law. I was surprised to see how young and chatty her mother in-law is and how friendly she was; making effort to keep the conversation going throughout lunch. My father in-law with his very cute grandsons. Haha.. Yes lah, MY sons :P Ethan was munching on nuts hence that mouth >_< Gosh my eye […]

I Don’t Want To Touch A Dog

I don’t want to touch a dog. I don’t know why people are dying to touch or pat them but you won’t see me doing it. I won’t touch a dog. I’m not going to lie or sugar coat it and I’m telling you as it is, I don’t like dogs and I don’t see anything wrong with that. There’s only one thing I dislike more than dogs and that is anyone who tells me […]

Breastfeeding a toddler

I did not manage to breastfeed Ethan for more than 3 months. By the time he was 4 months old, I fell sick, my supply dropped and I gradually weaned him off. I blame it on my lack of knowledge and support back then. I feel much regret each time I think about it. Every time he gets sick, I’ll blame myself for not trying harder to breastfeed him. With Ayden, I was very determine […]

Reunited and it feels so good.. or not?

Late last year, thanks to technology, I was reunited with my former school mates. We had a great time catching up online. I was nervous initially as it has been a couple of decades since I last saw or heard of most of these people. The thing about reuniting with your old friends is facing the living ghosts of your past. These friends remember you for what you are back in school. Now, talking about […]

Your Child Is Your Mirror

Not too long ago Ethan came home from school telling us that a classmate of his was sent to the Discipline Teacher for a misconduct in class. I asked him what did that classmate of his do and he told me that he shoved another classmate against the wall, strangled him, put his fingers in that boy’s mouth and tried to tear it open for taking his eraser. The attacker basically had an outburst; shouting and getting violent over […]

How to get your kids to do their revision?

It’s the exam week this and next week. Today is an off day though to accommodate the UPSR exam. Since last weekend we have been struggling to get Ethan to do his revision. Remember in my post here I mentioned I had not a productive weekend? That was because we deliberately stayed home so Ethan can do his revision but guess what? He did not. He chose to play instead. My blood boiled telling him […]

Remember in my previous post I mentioned we went car shopping last weekend? The first stop was at AEON 1Utama and boy I tell you the service sucks big time. How was your long weekend? Mine was not very productive. Darling was caught in a flood. He managed to drive through it without stalling the car but lost the number plate. There are a whole lot of activities for the entire family that we just can never get bored of this […]

Bari-Uma Ramen @ Jaya Shopping Centre

When I was in college, I used to frequent Jaya Supermarket in Seksyen 14, PJ or do they call it Jaya Shopping Centre already then? I’m not too sure but we always referred to it as Jaya Supermarket then. That was like a couple of decades ago. The old ‘Jaya Supermarket’ had been torn down (or rather collapsed) and rebuilt into a new shopping mall now. We were around the area last week and decided to […]

I know I’m not the neatest person on Earth. My mother cringed when she opened my pantry cabinet to see our Nestum 3in1 scattered all over. I used to organise them neatly but gave up after a while. Whatever works for Darling works with […]

Growing up, I’ve always loved watching cooking programmes and one of my favourite local chefs is Chef Wan.
