“Go-Go Crazy” Japanese Buffet @ Kofuku, Seri Pacific Hotel

Set on the fourth level of Seri Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Kofuku which means “Double Happiness” is having this “Go-Go Crazy” Japanese Buffet Dinner. Together with some friends, we went to check it out last week.

We had a great time indulging in an extravaganza selection of delectable and pristine Japanese delicacies; fresh sushi, sashimi, rolls, udon noodles, tempura, teppanyaki, just to name a few.

Now let’s take a look at some of the food we had.

Fresh sushi and sashimi

They serve Futomaki, Cali maki, Cheese maki, Tekkamaki, Nattomaki, Tempura maki, Unagimaki, Kappa maki, Soft Shell crab maki, Kampyomaki, Oshikomaki, Sakana mayo in the makimono (Assorted Sushi Roll) and Salmon, Tuna, Aburabozu, Tako, Cobio (White Fish) for sashimi (raw fish).

Unagi Temaki

This is Ethan’s favourite. He kept ordering this. Let me tell you how the ordering system works here.

You’ll see these clips with number on your table.

There are pictures with bowls at their live station. Take a pick and drop your numbered clip in the bowl of your food choice. The chef will prepare your food fresh and deliver it to your table. How awesome is that? Here you can see Ethan ordering his Unagi Temaki again and again.

Yaki Shishamo (Japanese Pregnant Fish)

I kinda feel guilty eating a pregnant fish initially but it’s so good that I went for seconds!

They also have western (burgers, nuggets, potato wedges) and local dishes in their buffet spread such as chicken rendang and curry, nasi kunyit, roti jala, ayam kapitan and even the famous Nyonya Ayam Pongteh.

Pasembur. 

Darling loves this. I don’t usually fancy having pasembur in a buffet spread because they are usually cold but here it is kept warm and surprisingly I actually like it. 

Steamboat for Ethan but ended up each of us having a plate too. One of our favourites. The prawns and the rest of the ingredients are very fresh. 

Dessert. Ethan had the cakes while I had the omochi. Come on, I can have cake any other day but these omochi are to die for! 

Ice cream for the family. We shared this bowl as by now we are all bursting at the seams already!

No matter how full we are, Ethan insisted to try this machine. He was so tempted to try their MILO.

And so he did. Very nice hot cup of Milo here. 

Both Darling and I had this Honey Green Tea from the machine. It’s my first time having green tea with honey actually and I love it babey!

I had one regret though. I forgotten to eat their edamame (Japanese Green Peas). I only noticed them on my way out :'(
