Behind The Scenes Tour – Let Your Adventure Begins!
We were up in Genting last weekend right? As you know, Genting is going through a major ‘make-over’ with their outdoor theme park making way for the much anticipated Twentieth Century Fox Theme Park. Without the outdoor theme park, what did we do during our recent 3D/2N stay there? Well, to our surprise, we did so much that not a single minute is wasted!
One of the activity that we signed Ethan up for is the ‘Behind The Scenes Tour’. Behind the Scenes Tour is a role-play activity that introduces participants to the behind the scenes scenario of the daily going-ons in Genting Resort World.
At just RM20 per pax, participants will go through almost 3 hours of fun learning the ins and outs of working here.
The first job that Ethan did under the ‘See, Do & Eat Interactive Workshop’ was to be a pastry chef.
He was given the opportunity to decorate a cupcake.
He chose don’t know what cream (he did not let me taste/eat his cupcake) and started decorating.
The many toppings to choose from. Ethan stayed clear from the fruits as this boy of mine doesn’t like fruits :(
There, his simple cupcake decorated with chocolate rice.
Next, he got to be a sushi chef. He loves sushi so this is his favourite activity.
The many ingredients to make that perfect sushi.
Ethan chose all his favourite ingredients and arranged them carefully on a bed of Japanese rice.
Ethan squeezing the last ingredient – mayonnaise onto the rest of the ingredients.
The sushi chef helped Ethan in rolling his sushi.
And guided him in making a neater sushi.
Ethan’s nicely rolled sushi. The chef helped to cut the sushi and tapao-ed it for Ethan.
Ethan and his sushi. We get to share this. Yums!
Next on the itinerary is supposed to be a visit to Visitor’s Galleria to learn about the ins and outs of controlling the Lights and Sounds but too bad Ayden was extremely tired by then. We were out since 8am exploring the Ice Age Adventure 2014 (to be blogged soon) and it was already 4pm then. I had no choice but to bring Ayden back to the room to nurse and rest. Darling did not allow me to go back to the room alone so he insisted to escort me there and that means Ethan had to tag along too.
Such a pity that Ethan missed the Light & Sound tour as well as the visit to First World Hotel Laundry room to learn about what goes on with our dirty towel. Nevertheless, he was still rewarded with a goodie bag eventhough he participated only halfway through.
Ayden checking out the goodie bag. One of the items that Ethan super loved in the goodie bag is the pencil case with exam grade stationeries in it.
It was a fun tour. I feel really bad that Ethan did not get to complete the tour. I told Darling that we must bring him up to Genting again one of these days so he can complete the tour. Pre-booking is recommended 3 days before the tour date either by email to [email protected] or call 03-6101 1118 ext 55678.

Ooooo….so nice. Good! Good! Learn and when I go over, can make for me to eat. Hehehehehehehe!!!!
This is very educational! Hope Ethan can go back again and complete the last two activities! I’m curious too on what happens to our dirty laundry in hotels.
Wow! I thought of waiting for the theme park to be ready, then make a trip to Genting. Nos after reading your post, I think no need to wait till 2016 to go there!!
Nice pictures, great fun!
Ethan very talented already, when wanna make sushi for auntie ? :p
Didn’t know Genting got such activities too! Probably it’s because the theme park was down and they needed to keep the kids occupied.
This behind the scenes tour is such a good idea! The Genting staff who thought of this and implemented it should be given a big bonus!
