Moist Banana Cake Recipe
The Daddy bought us an oven over the weekend. How excited we are as we can now bake IN AN OVEN! We have previously been baking using our rice cooker but no matter what, there is a limit to it. Now that we have a real oven, we are all set to explore the world of baking!
We officiated our oven by baking a moist banana cake today.
Simple yet delicious Moist Banana Cake.

220g self-raising flour
140g sugar
2 eggs (lightly beaten)
115g butter
4 bananas
1/2 tsp baking soda
20ml milk
1/2 tsp banana flavouring (optional)
Method:
1) Preheat oven to 160 Celsius.
2) Mash the bananas.
3) Break the eggs in a bowl and whisk lightly.
4) Cream butter and sugar until smooth.
5) Add in egg.
6) Add mashed bananas.
7) Mix baking soda into the self-raising flour.
8) Add flour into the batter and mix well.
9) Line and grease a baking pan.
10) Pour the cake mixture into the pan.

You may add 1/2 tsp banana flavoring for a more intense flavor and aroma .
Our cake turns out beautifully though I don’t know why there is a crack on it.
Moist banana cake. You may omit milk from the recipe if you don’t like milk but it won’t be as moist but still nice lah.
As usual, here is the video of our Little Chefs baking their very first cake using the oven. They loved it so much you can expect many more baking videos from them soonÂ
I am excited too. New oven, more baking from you and your little chefs.
I love banana cake. Must be moist and fragrant. Maybe I should try baking one day. Thanks for the recipe, dear.
We are very excited. We’ve been longing for an oven for so long, kept waiting for the built-in oven to be repaired but the technician kept delaying us and quote us sky-high we might as well change the whole thing but before we do that, I think it is more economical to buy this external oven first :D
Looks like those store-bought banana cake, bravo!
Thank you :D
Looks so tasty! Looking forward to more baked goodies from you, Ayden and Ethan!
We are equally as excited to try out and personalised recipes to our liking. Will definitely share more soon.
Lovely. Looks so soft and fluffy. No photo of your new oven?
Oh yes! It’s in the video, bigger than mine. I got one using my credit card bonus points, Morgan.
Oh. I’ll remember to include picture of the oven in my next baking post. My oven capacity is 25 Liters. My breadmaker is also Morgan, also redeemed using credit card points.
I am so surprised that you never had an oven at home! You kidding me.
Anyway hope to see more bakings from you and the kids. Have fun!
