Outdoor Learning Activity for Toddlers
Big brother Ethan is still feverish hence he skipped school again today. In the evening, the weather was very beautiful; sunny and windy so I brought them to the playground for some fresh air and sunshine. After spending about half an hour playing on the playground equipments, I introduced a simple color learning activity for Ayden. It is always fun to learn outdoors as the resources are endless.
For today’s activity, I suggested for the boys to collect used grass cutter line blades.
Excitedly they went collecting as many line blades as possible.
Big brother Ethan collected many line blades and gave them to Ayden.
Next, I encouraged Ayden to put those line blades into the holes. Soon they ran out of line blades and went looking for more.
They found a rare ORANGE line blade. They both got very excited with that single orange line blade. That is when the colour learning process took place. Ethan taught Ayden the colours of those line blades.
After learning colours, I brought Ayden down to see what it is like under where he was standing previously.
Yikes. Looks so gross! LoL! But Ayden was extremely happy to be down there because…
Ethan pulled those line blades up and down getting Ayden excited to see all those movements.
One learning activity accomplished today. It is always fun to go to the playground. There’s so much to see and learn here :)

I always support outdoor activities for the kids, but since pregnant susah a bit to bring Aden out, alone, tired la! :p
You are really such a creative mommy! Both your sons are so blessed to have you. What a fun activity you have come up with using what is around you and Ayden is so happy to be learning by playing.
Hahaha so my Tarzan guess was wildly off the mark! XD
This is a cool learning activity, Merryn, you are so patient in making all these happened. Ayden is so adorable.
