2012
Of broken resolution and a flooded kitchen
1 January 2012 had been awesome. We met up with Darling’s friends and went for Steamboat at Ho Ho Steamboat, Kota Damansara. One of Darling’s friend suffered a burn on his wrist after my hot spoon accidentally touched his hand while he was trying to scoop out some noodles and his reflex caused the soup to splash all over his wrist :(
He remembered reading something about treating burns using egg white so we did just that, applied egg white all over his wrist. I googled about it today but found that though many have claimed that it worked, doctors are advising against it as we are exposing the skin to salmonella.

We took the set meat at RM31 per couple and got the above.
We also got the noodles and eggs.
Ethan couldn’t stand the heat and resorted to taking off his tee during dinner! I wish I could do the same too!
Throughout 2011 when my blogging commitment got ‘heavier’, I started going to bed at 2-3am. Darling followed suit as I don’t like to be alone downstairs so he accompanied me. For 2012, we both made a vow to try sleeping BEFORE 1am if not 12 midnite.
We did not even manage to keep that resolution for a DAY for yesterday we went up to our room at 2am! After I am tucked comfortably under the sheet, Darling went down to take his phone only to find the kitchen water pipe had burst! He quickly dashed outside to turn off the main pipe and called out to me to help him with the already flooded kitchen :(
By the time we are done drying most of the kitchen floor it was already almost 3am and the kitchen is a mess!
The aftermath of the flooded kitchen. Everything is soaking wet >_<
By the time both Darling and I lay slumped on our bed, we both laughed at how 2012 started with a big splash for us! I said to Darling, “Chinese likes water so it’s a good thing actually.. to have water gushing like mad for us!”
Yeah yeah.. trying to stay positive at the start of the New Year!
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OUR LOVELY READERS AND MAY 2012 BE A GREAT ONE FOR US ALL! :D
