Little Chefs Bake: Almond Cookies Recipe
Hello! How is the long school holidays treating you guys?
We are busy as ever… busy doing nothing
Today we found time to bake something for the coming festive weekend. Our little chefs baked Darling’s favourite cookie – Almond Cookies.
It is super simple yet the Daddy and the boys love it so much hence we bake this often.
Almond Cookies
Ingredients for Almond Cookies:
115g salted butter (1/2 cup)
90g fine sugar (1/2 cup)
1 egg
1/2 tsp almond extract
210g all-purpose flour (1 1/2 cup)
1/2 tsp baking soda
Almond flakes
1 egg white
Directions:
- Cream butter and sugar
- Combine baking soda and flour
- Add flour into butter mixture
- Shape dough into small balls
- Use a fork to flatten the dough
- Brush egg white over cookies
- Place an almond flake on each cookie
- Bake in a preheated oven at 160C for 15 – 20 minutes until slightly browned.
- Cool on wire racks before storing in air tight container.

Believe me when I say this is super simple yet super addictive. Bake this for the upcoming Christmas or Chinese New Year. I’m sure your guests will love it.

Amazing! You sounded so easy to bake here. I always feel so troublesome to bake now. I think I must bake more in 2018. Hahaha! I have stopped baking for sooooooo long.
