Cook with Ayden: Mushroom Chicken

Both my kids love eating mushrooms. Mushrooms is also said to be good for the brain so I try to include mushrooms in their diet regularly.

Today’s recipe sharing is this super simple dish of Mushroom Chicken. This quick and easy yet delicious dish is a hit with the boys and I always add extra mushrooms as they always ask for more of it.

Mushroom Chicken

Ingredients:
7 chicken drumsticks
5 tbs oyster sauce
2 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
6 mushrooms (soaked and sliced)
A bowl of black fungus (soaked till soft)
An inch of ginger (skin removed and sliced)
3 clove garlic (sliced)
4 onions (sliced)
1 red chili (sliced)

Method:
1) Heat oil in pot. Fry ginger, onion and garlic until fragrant.
2) Add chicken, oyster sauce, soy sauce and water.
3) Let it boil.
4) Add mushroom, black fungus and red chili.
5) Let it simmer.

I noticed Ayden has grown up a lot in this video. He cooks effortlessly too. My little chef is no longer little

Here is the video tutorial to cook this extremely easy dish. Enjoy :-)

It would be a hit for me too. I love mushroom chicken.

Usually I do not add chilli since my kids can’t take spicy.
