Our Weekend Staycation at Eastin Hotel Kuala Lumpur
We celebrated Mother’s Day for the third consecutive year at Eastin Hotel Kuala Lumpur recently. During that Mother’s Day High Tea, I won a stay voucher in a Deluxe Room at Eastin Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
Eastin Hotel is located in between Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya and is just 5-minute walking distance to Phileo Damansara MRT Station that was just recently launched. I took that opportunity to celebrate Ethan’s birthday with a weekend staycation here two weeks ago and also to bring the boys on an MRT ride for the very first time.
Upon check-in, I was delighted to find that we had been upgraded to their Executive Deluxe suite.
We were even allocated the room closest to the elevator so the kids do not have to walk far. That was very thoughtful of them.
A spacious 55 sqm, the Executive Deluxe suite comprises of a large bedroom with a separate cosy seating area.
The boys had ample of space to move about in the suite.
The bedroom is huge with more than enough space for an extra bed for Ethan while Ayden shared the King bed with us.
There is also a large writing desk in the room.
Satellite television is available in both the bedroom and the seating room.
In-room safe, ironing facilities, bathrobe and bedroom slippers are also provided.
Cozy sofas with warm hue provides the ultimate rest and relaxation throughout our stay.
Complimentary coffee and tea making facilities.
This gorgeous plate of chocolate art sat on the table to welcome the kids. The boys were overjoyed to see this and ate them almost immediately.
There was also a plate of welcome fruits for us.
We managed to sneak in a cake without Ethan knowing and surprised him while he was engrossed watching TV in the seating room.
I caught it all to the point where Ayden helped big brother to blow off the flame on the candles on video. I doubt any of you would want to eat the cake after seeing how Ayden put off those flame
Here is the video in case you haven’t already watch it on my Facebook
The bathroom comes with separate bath and shower area.
Long bath.
Huge bathroom vanity mirror.
Guests staying in the Executive Floor have access to the Executive Lounge. We had our evening cocktail and snack here before going into the pool for a dip.
Work station for business travelers.
Tea break with the city view at Executive Lounge.
The weather was perfect for a splash at the pool in the evening. We enjoyed the jacuzzi a lot. It was tough getting the boys out of the pool for dinner.
It was already late by the time we managed to persuade the boys to get out of the pool. We were all famished by then hence the Daddy decided to have our dinner downstairs at Eastin’s famous Eyuzu Japanese Cuisine.
We read a lot of good reviews on Eyuzu but never had the time to come dine here personally so it was such a pleasure to finally get to check out their buffet spread.
Food was really of good quality. Eyuzu stayed true to Japanese cuisine and Japanese cuisine only. I was surprised to see Unagi in the buffet spread too and how quickly it was replenished.
You may read my full write-up on Eyuzu Japanese Cuisine on their buffet dinner here.
Cake of the month – Caramel Chocolate Cake for Ethan. The boys really enjoyed this cake and gobbled it all down within seconds!
Watch the video above to see what Eyuzu Japanese Cuisine has got to offer for their buffet dinner.
Eyuzu Japanese Cuisine is having a promo for their buffet dinner on Sundays where for a table of 4 diners, 1 diner eats for FREE.
It means for every 3 paying adults, the 4th person eats for free. It is not applicable to us though as Ethan is not yet an adult
After dinner, with stomach so full and bursting at the seams, we took a leisurely stroll to the Phileo Damansara MRT Station located 5 minutes walk away from the hotel.
Phileo Damansara MRT Station
We took the MRT to Bukit Bintang and back on time before the station closed for the day.
The next morning we had a hearty breakfast at Swez Brasserie. This is where they held the memorable Mother’s Day High Tea.
Mother’s Day High Tea was filled with games and activities not only for Moms but for the kids as well as the Dads. They never failed to amaze us the past 3 years we were here.
Watch the video above to see how fun it was during their Mother’s Day High Tea. You may want to keep them in mind for next year’s Mother’s Day celebration.
We had a really lovely weekend stay here at Eastin Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
As usual, I’ll end my post with a short video of our staycation.

Lucky you!!! How come I never have any such luck! Ooooo…Japanese baked cheesecake! I love that!!! Oh my!!! Look at all that food on the table! You mean they can finish all of that! Wowwwww!!!! And none of you is tua pui like me at all! Amazing!
Haha. You are SUI tua pui :P
We love Japanese baked cheesecake too. I did not bake it myself. We sent Ethan for his school activity and quickly dropped by a bakery to get the cake. I hid it in a big bag. Went to fetch Ethan and straight to the hotel. When he was watching TV, we surprised him with the cake :D
This must be your favourite staycation place as you have been there few times. Couldn’t blame you. The accommodation, the food are desirable. The kids enjoy the stay away from home. ^^
We stayed here only once but dined several times. Eastin Hotel has long been my favourite since my working days in the travel agency. I used to refer many of our business clients to stay or dine here.
Wow! Nice .. congrats on your winning
Thank you Angie <3
So nice, everything looks so wonderful in this post. .
Indeed they are :)
I think staycations are often better than getaways! No travel time and the money and time you save on travel you can spend on pampering yourself.
I think so too that is why when we are in need of a quick relaxation, we will just grab our bag and go somewhere nearby for a changed of environment :)
What a nice hotel to stay in for a relaxing weekend!
