GEMFIVE – Every find a gem

There is a new online store in Malaysia that boasts of exclusive brands that are not readily available in Malaysia. Known as GEMFIVE, it has FIVE core categories ranging from Fashion, Electronics, Beauty & Health, Home & Living to Mum & Kids.

I was browsing for some office wear since I have none at home and will need one very soon for an upcoming workshop event. Staying at home with two kids have reduced me to wearing just tee and shorts most of the time.

A quick glance through their website resulted in new discoveries with brands such as The Executive (Indonesia), Sakun, Beyond Closet (Korea),  Ortenhill (Singapore), Almatrichi, TUC TUC (Spain), Qwstion (Sweden), DA+PP (Thailand) and Stella & Jamie (USA).

And I was quickly distracted by the Mum & Kids Category.

The GEMdeals caught my eyes as they are offering unbelievable discounts.

I came across Hello Kitty, Monster High and Barbie apparels with discounts up to 70% off! At times like this I wish I have a daughter that I can spoil rotten -.-

My fingers must have been busy clicking because the next thing I know, I’m already in the educational toys section:

Ayden already has that Leapfrog Chat & Count Phone as a gift for his first birthday from my cousin. He will turn 2 next month so I am thinking about getting him some other toys as he really loves playing with battery operated educational toys these days.

However, I am undecided. Do I get something from Leapfrog or these dinosaurs from Jimbo Jungle?

Ayden loves dinosaurs remember?

He fell in love with dinosaurs from the first time he fed a baby dinosaur during our recent holiday trip to Genting. So maybe I’ll get him that Jimbo Jungle dinosaur after all. It’s nice to let him indulge in some pretend play every once in a while.

Ethan saw me browsing and this Paul Frank backpack caught his eyes.

He has been requesting for a separate bag for his school’s extra activities i.e. robotics, taekwondo and music lessons. I’ve been making him use recycled shopping bags all these while. I think it’s time to get him a decent bag.

Ethan can’t decide between that Paul Frank backpack and this Marvel Avenger’s. I told him to make his own decision as there is no point for me to decide and when the bag is delivered, he’ll end up not liking it.

Oh wait, one last item before I check-out my shopping trolley.

I want to get Ethan something that he really likes to reward him after going through so many exams recently.

Lego cars. He loves Legos and has so many of them at home. Uncle Kimmy gave him his first Lego RC not too long ago and now Ethan wishes to add on to his collection. 

Boys will be boys; can never be separated from cars.

Just like that, I am done shopping! No wonder more and more people prefer online shopping to conventional shopping. I did all of the above in my pyjamas while Ayden is still sleeping.
