Ayam Kampung
We were back at my in-law’s yesterday evening. Ayden the adventurer did not want to stand still and preferred to walk around so I brought him outside instead. Ayden playing with stones while the big brother Ethan was eating in the house. It was also Ayden’s first time seeing real, live chickens. He was so fascinated looking at the KungKung feeding those chickens. We did not let him enter the chicken coop though because I […]

Safety Procedures in Handling Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG)
Growing up, I’ve always loved watching cooking programmes and one of my favourite local chefs is Chef Wan. Initially an accountant, he is now a well-known celebrity chef and Tourism Malaysia’s culinary ambassador. Being a blogger in the Klang Valley has given me several opportunities to meet my idol in person with the latest being him judging a Gas PETRONAS cooking competition I was covering. It is always fun to see Chef Wan in action. […]

Fascination with Dried Leaves
Ever since Ayden started walking, he won’t want me to carry him in the playground anymore. He’ll want to explore and touch every single thing. I find it cute, exactly like Ethan. I brought Ethan to the playground every day too when he was as young as Ayden and continued until this year when he started school in the evening session so he doesn’t have time to go to the playground during weekdays anymore. Pity […]

Taman Santai Strawberry Park, Genting
A few weeks ago we brought Ayden up to Genting for the very first time. With Ethan, we used to frequent Genting twice a month but after I delivered Ayden, we stopped going up until recently. On our way down after spending 3D/2N in Awana Genting, we stopped by this Taman Santai Strawberry Genting. This strawberry farm is different from the one we’ve been with Ethan quite some time ago called Goh Tong Strawberry Park. […]

Should Kids Be Playing with Toy Guns?
I don’t know if you remember but I was very against Ethan playing with toy guns when he was younger. My Dad was very excited to buy him toy guns but I stopped him, telling him that I dislike Ethan playing with weapons eventhough they are just toys. Obviously my dad was very disappointed, annoyed even but he respected my stand. I was even interviewed by a newspaper publication yet I vehemently stood by my […]

Vietnamese cuisine is known to the food lovers as a cuisine featuring the harmony combination of five distinctive elements of taste senses, namely spicy to represent metal, sour to represent wood, bitter to represent fire, salty to represent water and sweet to represent Earth. To achieve the balance of these fundamental elements into the dishes, the Vietnamese dishes are known to incorporate a big amount of fresh herbs and vegetable, briefly-cooked meat to preserve its […]

DIY Butter Sandwich
It’s the school holidays this week and I have two constantly hungry boys at home. While I was in the kitchen preparing snacks for tea yesterday, Ayden had an accident in his cot. He knocked his teeth against the cot and bleed a little. Today, I decided to let the boys make their own snack. Ok maybe Ethan will be the one making it while Ayden sits down and observe :D I should have let […]

七星班 Seven Star Grouper feast at Mei Six Hin, Prima Sri Gombak
Last night, my kids had the shock of their lives when a fish bigger than Ayden landed on our dinner table. It was Malaysia Day and since it was a holiday, my foodie friends planned to have dinner together. My friends made prior reservations (2 days) for our dinner. Let me tell you our story… At Mei Six Hin in Prima Sri Gombak, you can just call up at least 2 days in advance to […]

Ethan’s First Talent Competition
Ethan participated in his very first talent competition yesterday. It is called, “Kids Got Talent“. When we first found out about this competition, Ethan was excited to participate. But after reading further details, we found this clause – THIS TALENT COMPETITION IS OPEN TO ALL MALAYSIAN AGED BETWEEN 4 TO 18 YEARS OLD and we were like, “OK. 18 year olds are NOT kids!” and got hesitant from participating BUT Darling was very positive. He encouraged […]

Ice Age Adventure 2014 @ Genting International Convention Centre
Darling and I love travelling. We used to travel at least once a year before we had kids but slowed down the moment we became parents. These days, we still travel but our priority is the kids. Before deciding on a place to go, we make sure that the place we are heading to will have plenty of activities to keep the kids occupied. Comfort is also our top priority and that means having easy […]

Retrieving deleted pictures
Technically my pictures are not deleted. They just vanished. You see it happening to others but kept thinking, “NO, this will never happen to me”. I heard people complaining that they lost precious photos from their phones or computers yet I still think, “NO, this will NEVER ever happen to me”. And then it HAPPENED! Last night, I lost all of my precious pictures of Ayden and Ethan in my phone. All 6000 of them! Just […]

Behind The Scenes Tour – Let Your Adventure Begins!
We were up in Genting last weekend right? As you know, Genting is going through a major ‘make-over’ with their outdoor theme park making way for the much anticipated Twentieth Century Fox Theme Park. Without the outdoor theme park, what did we do during our recent 3D/2N stay there? Well, to our surprise, we did so much that not a single minute is wasted! One of the activity that we signed Ethan up for is the ‘Behind […]

The boys chilling and watching TV on our now super spacious bed :D Complimentary bottled mineral water, tea and coffee. Our room also comes with a long bath much to Ethan’s delight. Shaver, […]

Mooncake Surprise
Hello everyone! How was your weekend? I hope you had a lovely time. As for us, we spent 3 days up in Genting but I shall blog about that later because first, I need to shower. It has been 3 long days since I last had a nice, warm shower. It was too cold to shower up there but no worries, I’m pretty sure I did not stink! :-P Anyway, we were up there with a […]

Ayden’s 1st Birthday Celebration in Malacca
Ayden finally turned ONE on the 31 August 2014. We had two celebrations to celebrate my little boy’s first birthday. One in my hometown Melaka and another in Darling’s hometown, Seremban. This post shall touch on the celebration in Malacca only. The one in Seremban will be posted in another post. I quite enjoyed the preparation for the party part in Malacca as I had fun with my dad and nieces decorating my parents’ house. Ayden loves […]
