Nipple Confusion: REAL vs FAKE
When it comes to titty (either of two soft fleshy milk-secreting glandular organs on the chest of a woman) you just cant fool them. They know the real ones from the many ‘commercialised’ ones out there. I gave Ayden a new toy to play with yesterday and he suckled on it thinking they are my titties but he soon came to his senses…

Ice Cream Potong
We had dinner in Nook, Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral tonight. It was a buffet spread and there was this freezer with loads and loads of ice cream potongs for dessert. I don’t know about you but it has been ages since I last had ice cream potong! I don’t usually let Ethan eat ice-cream at night but this is ice-cream potong we are talking about! Who can resist? Enough lah weh! You baby where can […]

Should Dads be allowed in Baby Changing Rooms?
Totally! Today I’m going to touch on the subject of baby changing and nursing room. By ‘baby changing’ I don’t mean you go in there to switch babies! Get a grip of yourself, no matter how cute the baby on the next changing table is, you are NOT allowed to trade babies! Now that I’ve made that clear, let me start my story. I was in a mall last weekend when a lady made a big […]

Eating Out for Baby
Since Ayden started solid about a month ago, I never cook and bring his food out when we are out of the house. I just fed him some baby biscuits while we are eating and he is good. But last weekend I did. He is having such good appetite these days that when we eat, he’ll lick his lips hoping to be fed too. So for the very first time last Saturday, I brought his […]

Fuss free baby porridge recipes
Ayden is 7 1/2 months now and is having the time of his life enjoying solid food. I started him on solid quite late at 6 1/2 months. He had mainly fruit purees for 2 weeks before I ‘upgraded’ him to porridge. I use all the ingredients that he has eaten in the past 2 weeks (except meat and anchovies) so that I know he won’t have any allergy reaction to them. Boiling porridge for […]

Mozzies… Gah!
Had a rough time trying to sleep last night. There was this annoying mozzie that kept buzzing in my ear. I hate mozzies and I believe they can sense that in me. The more I shoo them away, the louder they shout at my eardrum. Their ringing buzzing sound is worse than a nagging wife. Not that I nag la, am referring to other nagging wives in general. Darling has got to count his lucky […]

Synchronizing the boys’ sleeping hours
One of my biggest achievements since the arrival of Ayden is synchronizing the sleeping hours of both Ethan and Ayden at night. It was tough the first couple of months. Ethan would go to bed by 9pm while Ayden doesn’t sleep until at least 2-3am. Back then Darling blamed Ayden’s odd sleeping hours on my staying up late blogging while I was pregnant with Ayden because with Ethan, I had a very good habit of […]

Project Cookie Fail
Ok. Today’s entry is a replicate of my Dayre entry. I’ve been thinking, I update my Dayre sometimes but nobody reads it there. It’s like a ghost town there in my page. So I’m going to post it here in my blog instead where at least I have one or two readers -.- But the best part about Dayre is their stickers. The stickers you see here are ‘stolen’ from Dayre. Do check it out here if […]

Shark Attack
We were in H&M looking for Ayden’s sleepwear. Urm, Darling was the one looking actually. I was busy carrying Ayden and making sure he is not grabbing anything in his sight. This boy is a pro grabber now. He’ll grab anything that gets in his way. Suddenly… “Ohai! I iz SHARK. Nice to meet you.” “Boo! It’s ME la Daddy! Did I scare ya? Huh? Did I? Did I?” “What do you mean I’m not […]

Coins for Cuti-Cuti Malaysia
We got so bored the other day that I took out all the coins we have at home and got Ethan to count them. Ayden wanted to play with those coins but I dont let him. I just let him touch them and took them away immediately. It took Ethan forever to arrange those coins in groups of RM1. After about a week, Ethan managed to fill one bottle full and another bottle half. The […]

A loaf of bread
I first met the owner of this hand 18 years ago when I joined the company he was working in. My impression of him then was he is so Chinese and extremely thrifty. He was a fresh graduate, trying to make enough bread and butter to survive in the Klang Valley and I kid you not, he is ALWAYS having a loaf of bread with him! It was not love at first sight as I […]

Pasta Zanmai @ Sunway Pyramid
Darling had to meet a client in Sunway today so we took the opportunity to tag along. He dropped us in Sunway Pyramid and after a while I got tired and hungry. I thought of having pizza but it was too far and coincidentally we were right in front of Pasta Zanmai. Since we’ve never tried dining here, I went right in with Ethan and Ayden. Pasta Zanmai @ Sunway Pyramid As soon as we […]

Ginkgo Barley with Bean Curd Sheet Recipe
I love drinking sweet desserts. Apart from my favourite red bean with black glutinous rice dessert, my another all-time favourite is my mom’s Ginkgo Barley with Bean Curd Sheet. I’ve never boiled this myself because I’m just too lazy to shell and remove the ginkgo core. Here’s how my mom makes it: Ginkgo Barley with Bean Curd Sheet Ingredients: Barley Shelled Ginkgo with core removed. Bean Curd Sheet / Fu Chok. Make sure it’s the […]

Sushi Zanmai @ Sunway Pyramid
When it comes to choosing a place to eat, there are 2 types of people in this world. One who will go to eateries with the longest queue and join the line and the other who will enter the almost empty eatery so he/she will get served immediately. The person who joins the longest queue does so because he believes it is worth queuing because there is good food waiting for him in there; hence […]
