One City Skypark rooftop
The first time I set foot in One City was in January. We went to their Skypark and was amazed at their see-through glass floor. Ethan and friends trying to capture what it looks like from the glass roof. From the roof top, this is what we saw when we look down. We are 10 levels up and only supported by a double layered glass floor. This is not for the faint hearted! We went […]

Papaya Red Dates Milk Booster Soup
Six years ago I failed in my breastfeeding journey with Ethan. I blame it on my lack of knowledge and determination. Fast forward to present, I read (and try) everything possible to boost my milk supply so I can fully breastfeed Ayden. I learned the importance of direct latching as demand = supply. I also browsed the internet for lactating soups and consumes them regularly to keep myself well-nourished. One of the most popular milk […]

Hand and Footprint Sun
It’s the school holidays and that means having Ethan at home all day, all night, all week :D To keep him occupied, we did an artwork yesterday. We did a Hand and Footprint Sun. We used Ayden’s hand and footprint for our art. Ethan tracing Ayden’s handprint. He then traced Ayden’s foot. Ayden admiring his footprint. I get Ethan to cut out the hand and footprints. And paste them. Finally, he drew a pair of […]

Submarine Museum, Malacca
One fine day, I saw pictures of my cousin’s hubby and son visiting a submarine. Well, I’ve seen them visiting helicopters, ships and all and kept thinking how nice if Ethan gets to see all those for real and then I saw the SUBMARINE and totally lose it. You can imagine my excitement! I’ve never seen a real submarine in my life! It’s only fair that this Submerryn gets to see and touch a real […]

Ayden’s First Meeting
I’m a full time SAHM/Mommy Blogger. A friend once asked me what SAHM means. If you don’t already know, SAHM is the acronym for Superbly Attractive Hot Mom. Yep, that’s me! *handing out plastic bags for you to puke into* SAHM is a job with NO SALARY. Blogging helps me earn some pocket money through advertorials. Some ad jobs come easy as in I can just do it at home without lifting my butt and woolah […]

School Injury Insurance Claim
Ethan was involved in an accident in school recently. A student knocked into him at the staircase causing an injury to his head. The student (Year 5) carried Ethan into the office for initial treatment. The school’s person-in-charge then called Ethan’s father to take him for further check-up. The father brought him to our family doctor where his wound was checked and cleansed. I’m not sure if it was the doctor or the teacher who […]

Ethan and Ayden, all ready for bubble wrap art! First, I loosely wrap Ayden’s feet with bubble wrap. Ayden getting all curious with his wrapped feet there. Hehe :D Next, Ethan painted both Ayden’s wrapped feet. The following step is the […]

The Cause of Power Failure
We experienced a sudden power failure last Monday. Just when everyone is busy storing water for the water rationing exercise, we are left in the darkness. By ‘we’ I meant my house and my house alone. Our neighbours still have lights and water. We have water but no light :( Our neighbours are all very kind though. 1Malaysia spirit all the way! Whatever color also come out to help us check what’s the problem. We […]

Bread Sushi
Ethan was on medical leave the other day and we got hungry but I realised we ran out of rice at home. I’ve not been cooking much lately so we don’t have much stuff stocked up at home. I checked and all we had was bread, egg and nori sheets. Bread, egg and nori sheets. What can we make out of them? We made sushi! Bread sushi to be exact… Here’s how we made the cheat […]

Black Glutinous Rice with Black Bean and Black Sesame Porridge
Postpartum hair loss. How many of you suffered from it after delivering your baby? I had it, TWICE, both with Ethan and Ayden. This was what greeted me every morning. It scares the heck out of me as I really thought that I’ll be going bald. I confided in a friend about my worries and she gave me this hair growth recipe to try. She said it will help restore my crowning glory. Ingredients: 50g […]

Escalating electricity tariff: Energy saving appliances
As we marvelled at the beautiful fireworks decorating the sky ushering the new year 2014, we are in fact also welcoming new electric tariff. The new electricity tariff is now as high as the fireworks can go! My sleeping child Ayden, oblivious to the escalating standard of living surrounding him. If you’re friends with me on Facebook, you’ll know that I recently posted the picture of my ‘kaput-ed’ aircond in the master bedroom. Thank goodness […]

When Mommy Is the Barber
Just like with Ethan, I cut Ayden’s hair too. I started cutting Ethan’s hair since he was 3 months onwards but with Ayden I started really early. I trimmed his hair shortly after fullmoon. I used the exact same yellow Bumboo chair that Ethan used for Ayden now. Ayden however, unlike Ethan, is more difficult to handle. Ethan will sit still and quietly let me cut his hair but Ayden is terrible! He refused to […]
