Chicken Rice
In my hometown Malacca, the chicken is served with rice balls rather than a bowl of rice, commonly known as Chicken rice balls. The rice is shaped into golf ball-sized orbs and served alongside the chopped chicken. This dish is eaten the same way as the regular version, making sure to get a portion of chicken, some rice and the soy and chili condiment into each mouthful. Older chefs argue that the rice was originally […]

Bloggie 98.8
Was walking around in my second home today when I saw this from afar. Anything to do with blogging will definitely attract my attention. So I went closer… Alamak! Everything else was in Chinese! Help me! I don’t understand a single thing! Nevermind.. when I’m caught in a situation where I’m totally lost, I’ll just let my eyes do the looking and my fingers do the snapping… And this is the result. Apparently these two […]

Why I did not OPEN my house for CNY
Before Chinese New Year, many of my blogger friends hinted to me that I should do something during CNY and they’d be happy to drop by. They WANTED to drop by. But I’m so sorry folks, I was ‘suddenly‘ caught up with several issues that made my life upside down; hence the disability to prepare my home nicely for the festival. I did not even manage to shop for new clothes, Ethan and Darling got […]

Have pouffe will titon
When I’m teaching at home, Ethan will insist to join the class. Sometimes, he’s just too tired but still insists to participate. This is what happens when the rascal is too tired yet refuses to go outside and rest with Daddy. Just look at him.. Close up look. Like that also can ‘titon‘ (sleep) :D

Sundry Time
In my previous post I ‘complained’ about going back to my in-laws due to the lack of cooling system. In this post, I won’t be complaining. Instead I just want to share what my in-laws do. My FIL runs a sundry shop and they live upstairs. Period. As for Ethan, everything he sees there fascinates him. This is one of them.. Do you know what they are doing here?

Scorching HOT!
We were in my in-law’s place yesterday until this morning. Went back for some kind of prayers held every ninth day of the Chinese New Year. If you know what that is, then tell ME! lol.. What I ‘dislike’ about going back to my in-law’s (besides the Chicken and Duck talk) is the lack of a cooling system ie. air-cond! In the afternoon, it can be scorching hot and without air-cond is ‘a little’ uncomfortable […]

On Air
It was the second day of Chinese New Year, 15 February 2010 to be exact. At 9.31am I got an sms from a friend, “Your face is on tv now”. I was like.. huh? By the time we switched on the tv, everything’s gone~ler. Yes, Ethan and I were featured on Tv3’s Kids News that day. Remember I blogged about the recording a while ago? Unfortunately, we did not get to catch it.. Yesterday was […]

The Dinner
This year, my in-laws had their Chinese New Year eve dinner out of the house. We went to Restaurant Shengee in Mantin.. Reservation was done for 7pm We were served the Yee Sang upon arrival… My in-laws ‘loh sang-ing’ And that was practically IT! No more food came after that! We waited until 8.40pm, still no food. Everyone was getting rather restless (not forgetting – HUNGRY – ). Contemplated leaving the place.. but..Food came.. Not […]

When merry went overboard..
On the second night of Chinese New Year, a drunk man caused a hell of commotion in the (my parents) neighbourhood. We were having dinner when a cousin of mine drove over to tell us there was a drunk man walking towards our place. True enough, we saw him walking; hardly able to balance himself, singing and yelling to the top of his lungs! We got a little bit scared but thought nothing of it […]

One last look..
As we usher the year of the Tiger, let’s recap what has been going around town to set the mood for this year’s Chinese New Year. At #1 will definitely be my second home – 1 Utama. Applause, applause! :D I caught the Flying Lion in action. When the Lion managed to climb to the top, I was moved to tears! That was how touching it was to watch that kind of accomplishment. This was […]

They came, they saw, they recorded…
Remember when I blogged about remodelling my ‘studio’? Well, today was the day Ethan and I had been working so hard for the past couple of days for… As a team from a local television network came to our studio for a recording coverage on Ethan’s arts and crafts activities. My boy Ethan.. waiting patiently for the crew to arrive :) Our studio :D These were what we did today. I was extremely proud with […]

Elmo Loves You
Got this from Rachel yesterday. Thank you Rachel. Ethan loves the fact that Elmo loves him! lol.. He just loves that Elmo tee. To top it all, Rachel also gave us a penguin; telling us our iceberg is melting. Ethan has been ‘playing’ with that penguin since yesterday. Thank you so much Rachel. You have made our day :)

C2 – Cool & Clean Green Tea
It was on Saturday that they delivered C2 – Cool & Clean Green Tea to our home – 3 cartons all together. Whoa, so many! :D Ethan with the Forest Fruit, Apple and Lemon flavoured green tea He immediately helped me to keep them in the fridge as it is best served chilled. Ethan’s personal favourite – the Forest Fruit Green Tea :) Up till now, I try to discourage Ethan from taking carbonated drink. […]

Double Image
I’ve been busy remodelling my ‘studio’ lately. I have around 48 hours to get it up and ready. Some of you might already know the reason behind the rush. For those who don’t, let me get it done and over with and only then, I’ll let you know kay? I don’t want to jinx it or anything. I’ve already enough of ‘headaches’ for now :D Before I drag my butt back into the ‘studio’, let […]

The Gardens and Ikano
The Gardens, Mid Valley. Oh so very disappointing! I was like .. what??? Well, nothing nice to capture.. so here goes.. Jeng jeng jeng… *roll eyes*And then there’s Ikano.. Due to space constraint, all they could come out with is this..But then again, who says small space can’t do wonders? But for this.. I just have more sighs… haihs…

Cheeky ? :P
A MUCKY banker was caught checking out a woman’s assets on live TV when a news report filmed him ogling topless snaps at work. The cheeky employee at Macquarie Bank in Sydney, Australia, was eyeing up the saucy images — including ones of Orlando Bloom’s girlfriend, Miranda Kerr — as a reporter for Channel 7 made a broadcast from his office. DOME
We had a late lunch in Dome the other day in Mid Valley. It was Ethan’s first time there and he was just too happy (don’t know why). As you can see, he played with my camera again and managed to capture Darling and I :) (pardon my ‘lack of sleep’ face :D) We ordered Espreski Kids – Fluffy Koala and Junior Penne Bolognese for Ethan. The thought of having Squashed Frog was just too […]

Mid Valley’s blossoming New Year
Spring is in full bloom this Chinese New Year at Mid Valley Megamall. The Centre Court of the mall has been transformed into a blossoming lotus garden amidst enormous red lotus leaves to represent luck and wealth. So, so huge.. The towering pagoda with intricate traditional Chinese design. The plentiful ‘larger than life’ dragonflies flying above..We were lucky to arrive there on time to be treated to some music and drumbeats of the Chinese drums […]
