Cook with Ayden: Ayam Masak O
We are going to share a Peranakan Nyonya dish today. It is a popular soup dish called Ayam Masak ‘O’.
One of the quickest and easiest soup to prepare, it is easily a favourite among children as well as adults with its soupy gravy, soft potatoes and flavorful chicken with lots of ginger. Though we use ginger to cook this, it is not gingery hot but rather just nice to complement the whole thing.
Best eaten while it is still warm, it remain as one of my favourite comfort food especially on cold, lazy nights.

Ayden is so pandai! I like how he eats the food and says sedap at the end. :D Why did he look at the floor on his side when putting in the pieces of potatoes?
This looks like stew to me instead of soup, most probably because of the taucu :P
Never heard of this dish but it sure looks so good to me. Clever boy, Ayden. When are you going to cook for uncle, leh? :D
I eaten this dish before, kinda like it, the gravy goes so well with plain rice!
This is another delicious dish by my favourite Chef Ayden!
