First of all, let me wish Happy Merdeka to Malaysia! Twitters are going crazy ‘hearting’ their hearts out with the hashtag iheartmalaysia. So cool you know to see twitters come united like that! Awesome! #iheartmalaysia ******* Back to topic… They did a great job last year bringing in a fishing village into my second home. See the pictures here. This year, 1 Utama is transformed into a paddy field for Hari Raya. Scarecrow… First time [...]

Remember this?

Back when I was younger, we used coconut shell for this. These days, everything can be bought ready made. I still prefer the kik-kok kik-kok of the original coconut shell though. This plastic turtle just don’t have that ‘umph‘ ! Ethan @ 36 months

Am bored.. am bored.. you know me.. I’m bored!

Sobs! It’s a state holiday today but here I am stuck at home with Ethan. Darling’s out the whole day sending two cars for service and I’m at home because I don’t drive. Why did I not learn to drive? Wait a minute, I DID learn to drive. I even have a valid driver’s license. It’s just that I don’t drive. Period. So I’ve been spending a whole lot of time tweeting to kill time [...]

IKEA Welcomes Kids

If I have to vote for a place that is the most ‘Kid Friendly‘ I’d definitely vote IKEA. It is built and designed with kids in mind. Every little steps you take in IKEA will lead you to something that of interest to kids. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again – IKEA is a kids’ haven. I’ve blogged about what to do and what to play there. This time, I’m going to [...]

My sweet black chick

I don’t go to the market. Darling is a night owl so he can never wake up early in the morning to send me to the market. I don’t drive… So where do I get my kitchen supplies from? Darling. Twice a week he will go grocery shopping at Jusco in the evenings after work. He’ll buy chicken and fish from there too. I know, I know.. I can hear some of you shouting, “Not [...]

Blinds oh blinds.. you are making me blind!

Since I published my last post regarding the Studio’s blinds woes, I’ve received several emails on blinds recommendation. In case you are at lost to what I’m talking about, I am actually referring to window blinds – a specific type of window covering which is made with slats of fabric, wood, plastic or metal that adjust by rotating from an open position to a closed position by allowing slats to overlap. I looked through all [...]

Monkeying around..

The playground is one of Ethan’s favourite place. It is where he transformed into a monkey, swinging and hanging from any pole possible… Just the other day, I challenged him to try touching his toe to the pole and this is what happens But never giving up, he finally made it Ethan @ 36 months

Mak Nyai is 90!

Last week we were in Malacca to celebrate my maternal grandmother’s 90th birthday. Yes, the Lee Matriarch is now 90 years old. I remembered two decades ago when she turned 70 we celebrated big time in full Peranakan Nyonya style that got TV3′s Majalah 3 to cover the event. For her 90th birthday, we celebrated by having guests coming over to her house. Tents were set up and weather was nice. Caterer served up food [...]

So very the last minute

Darling has deprived me of my PC lately. He has been hogging it day and night browsing for the best deals (flight and hotel) as he is planning a trip to Singapore for us. Side tracked a bit – I lived in Singapore from born until kindie when my Dad got transferred to TLDM in Lumut. My dad was with the Navy then. OK done. Back to topic – After Ethan’s first flight to Penang [...]

If I am blind, why are YOU so visible?

I remembered clearly when I first showed the picture of my uncompleted Studio to my friends, their first reaction was the totally out of place and unsuitable blinds. I knew it too but because they are still in good condition, I thought that it would be a waste to dispose them. You see, I did not purchase those blinds but it was left there by the previous tenant and since they are still in good [...]

What’s with the blood stain?

See that blood-stained handkerchief? Want to know what happened? Ethan – He fell during dinner today. He was sleepy and we were on the way back from our third home when we stopped by somewhere for dinner. He was standing on the couch and wanted to lean on the table when he missed it and fell smack down on the floor.  I got him to bite the handkerchief to clean the blood away and later [...]

He works hard for NO money

People congratulate me and say that I’m lucky. Yes, I’m thanking my lucky stars for bringing me where I am but I must say that success doesn’t come easy. It is now up to me to make the Studio work. Darling has done his part in setting it up and now the pressure’s on me.  I love the way Irene and Kelwin put it – All of Darling’s positive becomes negative as he is financing [...]

Diet is DIE with a T….

This is a Sponsored Post written by me. All opinions are 100% mine. I’ve been working in front of the PC too long lately that I noticed I’m getting flabby. It’s not so much the weight that is bothering me, but it’s the muscle tone (or rather the lack of it). I can gain weight easily. My heaviest was during college when I went out supper with friends almost every night and clubbing every weekend. [...]

Cinderella Story..

Mothers with baby girls are very lucky Girls have more choices when it comes to clothing and fashion. When it comes to shopping for clothes and accessories, boys have very limited choices where else girls have an abundance of choices laid right in front of them to entice them. It’s no wonder why girls grow up to become crazy shopaholics; just look at how they were trained from young! Ethan has only a pair of [...]
