Home-baked Chinese New Year Cookies for Sale

Sorry if I have been a little quiet. We are quite busy as we have been baking cookies for sale. It did not occur in our mind to bake and sell cookies for this upcoming Chinese New Year but we received requests for it. I thought to just accept that one request but after successfully baking, selling and getting repeat orders, I figure we may as well open it up to public.

I made the sale announcement on our Facebook Page and thank you to our lucky stars, orders keep pouring in for our cute Doggie Cookies. After accepting all the orders, we faced a problem as we ran out of containers. We could not locate them anywhere as all the stores has run out of them. I almost had to call our customers to cancel orders until one of the store got back to us saying they have ready stock. I quickly called Darling and he drove all the way there to buy whatever is left. Thank you Darling for being so supportive. With that problem solved, I concentrated on baking and keeping up to the delivery schedule.

Today, I included another cookie for sale. I added our Pistachio Chocolate Chips Cookie into the list and to our delight, we received orders for them almost immediately.

We’ll be even busier closer to Chinese New Year as some customers prefer to collect their cookies as close to CNY as possible. The ones I baked recently are mostly for corporate clients to add into their gift hampers.

So yeah, I guess there is always a first time for everything and this is our first time baking and selling cookies. Luckily the boys are being very helpful in the kitchen. They are enjoying this as much as I do.

These are the cookies we are selling:

Congratulations on your new venture! Did Ethan and Ayden help you baking cookies? I would love to taste some of it but I live in Bangkok so it would be very inconvenient for that. Anyway keep it up, love your blog and I’m a great fan! Cheers!
