Kids Eat For Free @ Lavo
We celebrated Merdeka Day at a restaurant lounge and wine bar nearby our place. Located at Menara Lien Hoe along Persiaran Tropicana, this resto-lounge is generously spacious with an extensive wine cellar and a delectable fusion menu.
Lavo’s impressive range of bottles includes vintages not commonly found in the Klang Valley.
Lavo may be a haven for wine hunters but it is also home for families to dine together.
Diners can choose to dine inside with the beautiful interior in a comfortable setting or outside at semi-alfresco terrace with lots of natural lighting.
Lavo attracts a huge crowd over the weekends with their Kids Eat For Free promotion.
We took advantage of the Kids Eat For Free on weekends from 12pm to 6pm with purchase of adult main meals promo to have our Merdeka lunch here.
Even though this place boasts of their extensive range of bottles, we drank only fresh fruit juices that day.
I rarely drink with the kids around.
We ordered pizza and fish for our main meals.
Seafood Pizza (RM26)
A delightful seafood spread of plump and juicy shrimps, squids and mussels; paired with a rich tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.
Pan-Seared Pacific Halibut (RM30)
Pacific pan-seared halibut topped with tangy Italian mango salsa; served with sauteed pea sprout.
With our main meals, the kids are entitled for free meals. The kids’ free meal comprise of either Nuggets with Fries or Fish & Chips.
We decided to have one of each for the boys.
We were lucky as Lavo was also having a colouring competition the day we were there. I registered both the boys for it as they had 2 categories for the colouring competition.
But alas, the boys prefer to sit with us and eat instead of colouring as it was lunch time and they were famished.
They brought their colouring sheet to the table but did not manage to colour much until the final 5 minutes of the hour.
Prizes for the colouring competition.
Ayden started colouring 5 minutes before the given one-hour ends
And happily showed me his ‘masterpiece’
While waiting for the result of the colouring competition, a game was organised for the children.
The children were randomly grouped into a team of five and they compete with other teams in a pingpong and straw challenge.
The challenge is to transfer the pingpong balls to another plate using just the straw.
Our truly 1Malaysia team took the 2nd place; winning themselves a huge hamper.
Well done kids!
And they happily unpacked the hamper to share the content amongst themselves
It was truly a fun and memorable Merdeka celebration we had over the weekend.
Food was great and ambiance was perfect. Now that we found this gem in the neighborhood, I’m sure we’ll be dining here often especially during the weekends for the Kids Eat For Free promo.
So nice. Would be good if senior citizens could eat for free too – we do not eat so much also bah! For one thing, gigi dah tinggal dua!!! :D
Haha you are so cute! Gigi tinggal dua that’s why senior citizens always have special rates for buffets right? LoL.
I heard of this place too when my friend ate here recently. Congrats to Ayden and Ethan’s group for winning hamper! Did the children share the items in the hamper peacefully or was there an item that everyone wants?
Surprisingly they were all very happy with whatever they get. They did not expect much. In fact, being second placed, they did not even expect to win a hamper. So this is a bonus for them.
Now that looks like a lovely selection of wines – easy to see what grabs my attention ;-)
Oh yes! I’m sure you’ll love it here with those extensive collection of wines.
Great way to spend National Day. The kids enjoyed themselves in the competition and such lovely and chic place to have lunch.
Fish N Chips. My kids were just telling me that they missed Fish N Chips over our swim this evening but I had cooked dinner. So rain check for Fish N Chip tomorrow . Haha.
Haha. I hope they get their Fish N Chip already by now :D
Very impressive wine cellar!
Indeed!
I was wondering how to share the hamper prize but they ended up happily with equal shares. I have only tasted Seafood Pizza which often sprinkled some tuna bits only but yours had big prawns!!!.
Oh yes! Those big and juicy plump prawns. They popped in my mouth. I want to eat it again :D
