Counting down to fireworks to welcome 2016
It is our annual ritual to welcome the New Year counting down to the fireworks display at major shopping malls. I’ve been doing this with Darling eversince we were dating and continued the tradition until today. Back in those days when I was dating, we used to take the LRT to the city centre to countdown at KLCC or Dataran Merdeka. These days we don’t do that anymore. We will just drive to the malls nearby (The Curve or 1 Utama) and wait for the fireworks.
There wasn’t any fireworks display last year as we faced the worst flood ever at certain parts of our country. This year, we drove to The Curve to wait for the fireworks. I told Ayden to make sure to take his evening nap so he’ll be able to stay awake to catch the fireworks unlike 2 years ago where he slept through it all.
Both Ethan and Ayden stayed awake and managed to witness one of the nicest fireworks display by The Curve ever. Usually I’ll just enjoy the show with my naked eyes but this time I decided to take some pictures.
Here are some of the beautiful burst of colors we saw on the stroke of midnight:
Fireworks never fails to mesmerize me. I’m always at awe with their beautiful burst of colours.
Here’s to a great 2016 for us all. May our lives be as happy and colourful and be blessed with good health to carry us through the year :D

Happy New Year to you, William and the boys. Cheers!!!
I didn’t see any firework this year, except in your blog now. Thanks for sharing all the beautiful pictures of firework. I slept sharp sharp at 12am on 1 January 2016.
Now that you mentioned, yeah I think last year’s ending was better compared to the year before, with all those horrible floods… Hopefully 2016 will be cheerful all the way!
Bright fireworks! May 2016 be a great year for all of you.
