Non-halal dim sum @ Dynasty Restaurant (满福楼), Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel
Darling is always looking for a good place to bring his business acquaintances for a meal. It is rare to find restaurants in hotels in KL serving non-halal dimsum as mostly are pork-free.
I recently discovered that Dynasty Restaurant, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur serves non-halal piping hot Dim Sum at RM12.60nett onwards per portion. Choices range from steamed, baked and deep fried to healthy congee.

We dined here last week to savor delicious home-made Dim Sum by their newly appointed Dim Sum Chef Chong Foo Tuck. With over 30 years of experience in Dim Sum making, Chef Chong emphasizes on using high quality and fresh ingredients only as he makes all the Dim Sum from scratch daily.
I fell in love immediately with their dainty tablewares.
Dimsum menu.
We had quite a number of chef’s recommendation and delights that evening.
Chef’s Signature Creation
Emerald dumpling topped with fresh scallop
An entire piece of fresh scallop on a bed of shrimp wrapped in translucent emerald green is simply divine.
Signature Chive Biscuit
Crispy biscuit with a generous filling of juicy shrimps and chive is one of our favourite that evening.
Seafood Roulade with Bamboo Pith
Stuffed with shrimp and scallops, this makes an elegant dish.
Steamed Bun with Egg Yolk Custard
Soft and tender with just the right amount of sweetness. This has got to be eaten using our hands to tear the bun and lick the oozing egg custard filling.
Steamed Shanghai Dumpling simmered in Superior Stock
This steamed soup dumpling must be eaten while it is still hot. Tear the side of the dumpling and slurp the soup before eating the rest of it. This is a must-have in any dimsum feast.
Wok-fried Radish Cake with Shrimps and Bean Sprout
Savory and spicy fried omelette with white carrot cake and generous amount of shrimps and bean sprout.
The luscious Crispy Banana Roll with Red Bean Paste is easily a winner that evening. Perfect combination of chocolate and banana in a crispy fried skin, this is also a must-have here.
Besides the chef’s recommendation, we also had these:
Steamed Dim Sum @ RM12.60nett per portion
Steamed Fluffy Bun filled with Barbequed Pork
Minced Pork Dumpling topped with Fish Roe
Tradional Steamed Glutinous Rice
Steamed Spare Ribs with Yam & Garlic
Fried Dim Sum @ RM12.60nett per portion
Crispy Salad Prawn Dumplings
Ayden super liked the salad that comes with this and ended up eating all of it.
They have special tableware for little children and Ayden is seen here enjoying his salad and the Char Siew Pau.
Crispy Yam Biscuit
Pan-seared Stuffed Three Treasures
Oven Baked Egg Custard Tart
Located on Level 1, East Wing, Dynasty Restaurant is open daily for lunch from 12noon to 2.30pm and dinner from 6.30pm to 10.30pm. Dim Sum breakfast is served from 9am to 2.30pm on Sundays and Public Holidays.
Darling approved of this place and bookmarked it for future business lunches.
Non-halal dim sum taste better. ^^
Love that steamed egg custard bun. Look at the custard!! So creamy!! I could have a lot of that!! The oven baked custard tart looked delicious too.
Lovely dim sums, all very well made…and non-halal. Next time I go Kl, you bring me here, can?
Luxurious dim sum, so different compared to what I had this morning! >.<
All the dim sum looks super delicious!
