Every face tells a story – The Sloane Clinic’s Beauty & Your Fortune Workshop
When I received the invitation to attend The Sloane Clinic’s Beauty & Your Fortune Workshop, I accepted it immediately as I am keen to learn more on what my face has to say about me. The Sloane Clinic™ is one of the leading aesthetic clinics in Singapore and Malaysia. I made my way to The Sloane Clinic™ Pavilion KL on a beautiful Saturday morning to attend the workshop. From left to right: Dr Aster Low, […]

Ole Ole Delights, Melaka
We went back to Malacca last weekend and brought my parents out for dinner at this newly refurbished place called Ole Ole Delights. It was formerly Ole Ole that served traditional Malay food with dark, wooden interior but now they are sporting a more modern cafe-like ambiance and serve a mix of Western, Malay and Thai cuisine. Ole Ole Delights (Next to Public Bank Batu Berendam) 7 Jalan Mutiara 4, Taman Mutiara Melaka, Batu Berendam […]

Toilet Paper Roll Apple Tree
Ayden is turning two next month. That means he is ready for art and craft activities with me. Today, we made an apple tree using toilet paper roll and coloured crepe paper. First, I get Ayden to paint the toilet paper roll with brown tempera paste. He only needs to paint half of the toilet paper roll as we’ll be using only half. I did not cut it first because it is easier for him […]

23 months old Ayden baking a cake
Hello :D We just got home from Malacca. Had a great time catching up with my parents. It’s late now and I’m sleepy so just sharing this video (you might have seen it on my Facebook) of Ayden baking. Enjoy :)

Le Pont Boulangerie @ Bedford Business Park
I am not a very active Instagram user but when I do have the extra time, I like to spend a minute or two browsing through the beautiful, almost picture perfect feed. Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of pictures of Le Pont Boulangerie, one of Old Klang Road’s new F&B landmarks. Most of them are very artistic. I’m not good in taking artistic pictures hence my infrequent updates on Instagram but there is something about […]

Bedtime Story
Hello. Did anybody realise I have been quiet? I did not manage to blog hop or update my blog as often as I like because my time with my laptop is very limited these days since Darling’s computer went kaput. He now uses my laptop for work so I can only have access to it after he is done which is usually after midnight. His work is more important than mine coz he is the […]

GEMFIVE – Every find a gem
There is a new online store in Malaysia that boasts of exclusive brands that are not readily available in Malaysia. Known as GEMFIVE, it has FIVE core categories ranging from Fashion, Electronics, Beauty & Health, Home & Living to Mum & Kids. I was browsing for some office wear since I have none at home and will need one very soon for an upcoming workshop event. Staying at home with two kids have reduced me […]

Ethan is EIGHT
Ethan is EIGHT today! Happy birthday Ethan. Big boy dy. It’s not as easy to handle him now as he has his own personality and is at that point where he is finding his own self. He no longer takes instructions blindly. If he doesn’t like it, he’ll make sure to tell us about it. He believes in his friends and teachers more than his parents. He’s more vocal now and at some point, drives […]

Paternal Grandmother
We went back to Darling’s hometown today. When Ethan was younger, my mother-in-law was always anxious that they were unable to communicate with their one and only grandson (then) as my parents-in-law do not speak English and Ethan doesn’t speak Mandarin. By the time Ethan was 4, he began to pick up Mandarin after we started sending him to BaoBei much to my in-law’s delight. Now, Ethan will spend time talking to his paternal grandmother […]

How to Identify a Breastfeeding Toddler
You know a toddler is still breastfeeding (or was breastfed) when the first thing that comes out of his mouth when you bring him to the lingerie department is ….. Read on. I needed to buy a new nursing bra or maybe just a new bra so I handed the boys over to Darling and went to the lingerie department alone. Ayden kept asking for me so Darling brought him over but the moment he […]

Ant-Man
We’ve watched Ant-Man! Woohoo! One of the perks being a Nuffnang blogger is being able to win tickets to their premiere screenings. But now that Ethan is in school, I don’t go for screenings too often as I don’t want him to sleep late and be tired for school the next day. BUT it’s the school holidays (Raya break) now so we are FREE to do anything! The screening is in GSC 1 Utama so […]

Brothers
Everyday after Ethan leave home for school, I’ll keep Ayden entertained by getting him to help out in the garden, bake a cake, play and going to the playground in the evening. After all that he’ll take his shower and automatically wait at the door for big brother Ethan to come home. From the moment Ethan walks through that door, Ayden will stick to him like magnet. He’ll also sit next to Ethan when the […]

Moist Orange Cake Recipe
We’ll be baking moist orange cake today. I browsed the web and found a recipe on allrecipes.co.uk that I believe will work so I tested it out. I tweaked it to suit my preference and this is the result: Super moist and delicious orange cake. This is my tweaked recipe: 110g butter 130g sugar (the original calls for 150g) Grated orange zest from ONE orange (the original says 2 tablespoons) 2 egg yolks 2 egg […]

Quick and Easy Chicken Rice
Ethan has been talking so much about Jurassic World as most of his friends in school have watched it in the cinema. With his exams all done and over with, we decided to bring him for a movie treat last weekend. My boys and I before the movie start. Am so glad that Ayden sat through the entire movie this time. During our last movie outing, that boy ran out halfway through making me miss out on […]

Raya Decoration – 1 Utama
This is 1 Utama’s Raya decor. Nice. I like it. They even use real grass though a lot has already dried up and turned brown. It reminds me of their decor several years ago with paddy field filled with water and all. The paddy field was beautifully done but we needed to move around it with caution as the kids might fall into it and there is no way we can push a stroller around. […]

Delayed Tooth Growth
At 22 months old, this is all Ayden has: 4 up, 4 down with another one sprouting out halfway. During Ethan’s dentist visit a week ago, we got the destist to have a look at Ayden’s teeth and she said that Ayden is experiencing a delayed growth for his teeth. According to the chart above, Ayden’s teeth are around 13 – 16 months only. The same goes to big brother Ethan. He experienced delayed tooth […]

Frozen Strawberry Yogurt Popsicle
After making so many frozen traditional popsicles aka ais krim potong, I guess it’s time to make some fruity frozen yogurt treat. I bought some strawberries the other day. I washed and removed the leaves. I sliced some and left the rest to be blended with yogurt later. I juiced half an apple for some natural sweetness. Combine apple juice, strawberries and natural yogurt in a food processor. Blend until smooth. Pour into popsicle mould. […]

Short getaway to the beach
This must have been one of the most impromptu trip we’ve ever made. Last Friday, Darling and I were talking about our plans for the upcoming Raya holidays as I was telling him most of the hotels we are looking at are already fully booked and the flight tickets are soaring sky high this last minute so we may need to scrape our holiday plans and just stay home. Disappointed, he casually mentioned our trip […]

Raya Decoration – The Curve
It’s that time of the year to be sharing the festive decoration in malls around the Klang Valley. I’ll start with The Curve. A kampung setting for Hari Raya. I’ve been to Sunway and they too have Kampung setting. I guess most malls will have Kampung house as their decor this year?

Refreshing Homemade Frozen Orange Popsicle
I made orange frozen popsicle once. I did not add sugar and little Ayden refused to eat it. I guess it was too sour. So I thought of an alternative to make it sweeter naturally. I added natural apple juice. I blend the orange and apple juice together. Poured into the popsicle mould and freeze. The result is an extremely refreshing cold treat on a super hot day! This orange plus apple juice popsicle is […]

Tooth Filling
It is exam week these two weeks in Ethan’s school. They are having their mid-term exam. The children have to sit for exams THREE times a year in his school. It was only TWICE last year but since they got a new Principal, things have changed. This morning out of a sudden, Ethan told us he is having a toothache. We never thought much about it as he just got his teeth filled about a […]
