Muay Thai Workshop

Darling, Ethan and I went for Muay Thai workshop at Dragon Muay Thai Club today courtesy of Nuffnang. Muay Thai is a combat sport from Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. Ethan was very excited the moment he found out we will be attending this workshop that he told his teachers about it!

Dragon Muaythai Club
4th floor, Jalan Alor,
Bukit Bintang,
Wisma City Tower 50200 KL

Situated along Jalan Alor, I was salivating before I even made it to the 4th Floor! Jalan Alor is synonym for their good food so what better place can you go after a hearty meal but Dragon Muay Thai Club to kick off some of that extra calories :D

This Dragon greeted me as we entered. After some ice-breaking introduction we begin with the warm-up session.

Dragons vs Bloggers

We need to make sure we warmed up properly before getting some kick-ass action or we’ll definitely suffer later! ^_^

It’s always nice to see these two having their ‘Father and Son’ bonding time <3

Ethan is very privileged to get Ejo, Malaysia’s #1 Light Weight Muay Thai fighter to train him today!

Ethan learned some kick-boxing technique and loved it lots! He felt so proud that he told everyone he had TWO trainers training him while the rest of the bloggers had only ONE! Tsk tsk my anak!!

Darling had his share of training with Zidov and several other trainers today.

With some bumps and bruises too. LoL! My poor baby! But it’s okay lah, no pain, no gain right? :D

Ethan and some of the Muay Thai fighters.

Don’t they LOOK good? We are so privileged to get to see them demo some of their very powerful kicks!

I’m looking forward to catch them in action LIVE this 9th October at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre.

If you LOVE Muay Thai you should NOT miss this! I’m already blocking this date on my calendar as Ethan is very eager to see MORE after today’s session!

A group pic of Muay Thai fighters and Nuffnang bloggers

After more than 2 hours of kick boxing action we had to call it a day. We are after all, FIRST timers Muay Thai fighters. I can tell you we will all wake-up with bruises and sore muscles tomorrow!

It couldn’t end any better today as the nice people from Dragon Muay Thai Club bought us Pizzas and drinks too after all the action!

Cheers!

Words just can’t describe what we experienced today. It’s just great to be able to learn Muay Thai. It’s a great sport and is even a greater self-defense tool!

Watch this video as it tells more of what we learned here. You’ve just GOT to watch it lah as it is so cute to see little Ethan doing some Muay Thai fight! :)
