Simple egg with tofu dish

My colleague taught me a simple dish the other day. She said she loves eating eggs (sunny side up) served on tofu with a dash of soya sauce (I think) over it. So I experimented with it today.

I dunno if this is what she is talking about?

I steamed the tofu for several minutes and discard the excess liquid. I know my colleague did not steam it as she told me to just take it out from the fridge and leave it so that it’s not too cold.

And then she said she fried the eggs Sunny Side Up style. Darling doesn’t like the egg yolk to be too runny so I flip it over for a few seconds @_@

Placed the eggs on the tofu and drizzle some soya sauce on it. I would prefer thick soya sauce but too bad I don’t have any at the moment :(

The result? Yum Yum! The egg yolk that came oozing out is simply delicious! Next time, I’m going to use thick soya sauce instead as I’m a fan of dark soya sauce!

Since I’m already at it, I prepared another version for Ethan. I don’t let Ethan eat runny egg yolk as he is unwell today.

I steamed another tofu. Drizzled some sesame oil and oyster sauce over it. Scrambled a couple of eggs and scattered them on the tofu.

Wonder what’s the verdict?

Coupled with the porridge I boiled him this morning, he said this is the best dish he’s ever eaten! Aww…. Ethan loves me :P

Psst.. Darling loves it too :D

I’m a happy woman today. Must so go out and look for that “KISS the COOK” apron! wink wink!
