Have you ever… slow dance?
A friend was talking about slow dancing the other day and that got me thinking.. “Hey, I’ve NEVER slow dance in MY life!“
People who knew me back from my college days would know that I was a ‘kaki clubbing‘. My bestie and I would frequent clubs or pubs just for the sake of shaking our booties and letting our hair down. We just loved dancing that much, that’s all. We were never afraid as we always went with a bunch of guys whom we trusted; family friends. I had a really great group of friends then. A group so tight, nothing can tear us down. But reality hit later when we all went out to work. We each had our own directions and after sometime, with each of us having our own set of commitments we just drifted apart.
Back to topic, my friend and I were talking about ‘I dunno wat’ when the topic slow dance came into the picture. I then recalled when I dated Darling, we didn’t dance. You see, Darling is NOT a ‘clubbing kaki‘. He is one of the many contributing factors that ended my clubbing days. But anyways, age will catch up and sooner or later (with or without him) I WILL stop clubbing eventually.
On my wedding day, I did not dance with him. Up to today, we still did not dance much :P I said ‘much‘ as there ARE times when I forced him to dance and those are the times that I laughed the hardest. He danced so ‘cute‘ (imagine a tortoise dancing) that it is no wonder he chose NOT to dance :D
I once entered a contest and won a pair of VIP tickets to Aaron Kwok’s concert. My winning slogan was, “Your Para-Para Sakura made my Kura-Kura Cedera Parah“. Just like that, I won! I visualised Darling when I wrote about the Kura-Kura Cedera Parah part as he is just not born to dance!
So I was imagining, wouldn’t it be nice to have one day – dancing under the moonlight; no dance can be as romantic and sensual.. Well, I’ll just have to keep on dreaming as unless Darling goes for secret dancing lessons, I will have to be content with just dancing with a .. tortoise :P
Tell me, have you ever slow dance? Did you dance on your wedding day? Feeling a little bit sentimental tonight, so yeah.. SHARE, ok?

Oh sad thing we haven't. When we were young used to clubbing but now no time and interest already. I do hope we can have international dancing together in some other time.
LOL at your kura-kura slogan. Funny lah! Hmm… dancing is so not me. Can you believe it if I tell you I've never stepped into a club or pub in my whole life?? :(
I had danced slow dance before but not anymore.
Wah..I'm shocked to know you were a 'kaki clubbing'..haha. Show us some moves lah..LOL.My husband cannot dance at all..lol but for the sake of wooing me he actually danced with me on our first meeting (with my friends around) at a pub (I also frequent discos and pubs when I was younger..LOL). That was the first and last time we danced together. :P
