Dynasty Restaurant’s 2017 Chinese New Year Menu

To celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year, Executive Chef Kok Chee Kin and his team of talented chefs are all set to engulf our senses with Festive Menus that capture the finest flavours of Cantonese cuisine from 11 January until 11 February 2017 at Dynasty Restaurant (non-halal), Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel.

You know Chinese New Year is near when lanterns and beautiful flowers lead the walkway towards Dynasty Restaurant.

DYNASTY RESTAURANT

We sampled the FORTUNE SET at RM2088nett per table of 10 persons. It starts with this delicious platter of Salmon Yee Sang.

Dynasty Restaurant serves six varieties of yee sang – salmon, fruity fiesta, jellyfish, lobster and salmon, Five Treasures, as well as mini abalone with salmon.

Fortune Combination Platter

What came after our prosperity Yee Sang toss was this gorgeous combination of wealth money bags, crab stick salted egg rolls, stuffed beancurd and scallop in noodle basket.

Plump scallops with asparagus nestled beautifully in a noodle basket.

Crab stick with salted egg crispy rolls is simply amazing.

Stuffed beancurd with meat, dried oyster and the celebrated fatt choy.

Luxurious money bags with whole prawns inside.

The presence of scallops create a super flavorful broth effortlessly. I detected the presence of my favourite collagenic sea cucumber too. This is one precious elixir for beauty that I made sure not a single drop is wasted.

Braised pork knuckle with fresh mushrooms and sea cucumber is another collagen-rich dish we had that evening.

The pork knuckle is simmered to softness together with mushrooms and sea cucumber which resulted in meltingly tender pork with a fantastic sauce.

Prawns with crispy golden crust and spicy minced garlic is very addictive that I just had to have more.

This gluey with sticky consistency wok-fried glutinous rice with assorted waxed meat is one of the boys’ favourite indulgence. It is tasty yet not greasy.

Dynasty’s Fortune Pastries excites the boys with the cute pumpkin and strawberry pastries. We adults are thrilled on the gold ingot and coconut coated nian gao

Nian Gao in grated coconut is easily one of the best way to enjoy this Chinese New Year cake.

The perfect ending to the Fortune Set is this refreshing drink of double-boiled dried bamboo cone with aloe vera, fungus and tong yuen; another healthy concoction for a beautiful year ahead.

The above featured set menu is the FORTUNE SET at RM2088nett per table of 10 persons. For set menus, you may choose one that caters to two, five, six or ten persons.

Besides previewing the Fortune Set, we were also treated to a lavish pot of prosperity.

At RM428nett for 5 pax, we got this treasure pot of prosperity with whole sun-dried scallop, fish maw, stuffed dried oyster, fresh scallop, flower mushroom, fu kwei abalone, farm chicken, roasted duck, money bag, sea cucumber, roasted pork, vegetable, tiger prawns, fish stomach, coral clam and fungi mushroom 😘

Look who is the happiest with this sumptuous poon choi?

Yee Sang starts from RM108 to RM338nett and set menus from RM288++ to RM3,288nett.

Dynasty Restaurant is open daily for lunch from 12.00noon to 2.30pm and dinner from 6.30pm to 10.30pm. For reservations, please call 603-2716 9388 or email rhi.kulrn.fb@renaisssancehotels.com
