Tai Chi, Wushu or ???

Yup, the much talked about weekend of mine is finally here. We are finally in Chin Swee Temple Genting much thanks to Nuffnang and Resorts World Genting. I am already in love with this temple. The landscape is beautiful beyond words, the air is so cool and it is simply rejuvenating to be here. One of the activities arranged for us during this getaway is Tai Chi with 2006 World Tai Chi champion, Master David Bao. […]

I can SEW!

My mother can’t live without her sewing machine. I on the other hand, can’t live if I HAVE a sewing machine! I hate sewing. You don’t see me sew for nothing. If I have to get my dresses or pants altered, I’ll send them to my trusty tailor to do it. And if I get Ethan to deliver the clothes, they might fix the button free of charge! :P But today I was caught in […]

Lingerie fashion show

There’s no secret I love lingerie. Who says being a mommy means you can’t be wearing sweet, flirty lingerie? I’d take any opportunity to attend any lingerie fashion show as I simply LOVE lingerie! Have I told you how much I love lingerie? Hehe..  ^_^ Yesterday I attended the launch of Wacoal’s Salute line of lingerie. Let me share with you some of the pictures taken :) Mannequin or real? The models stood there as […]

Xiang COOL!

During our many blogger outings, Ethan found a big brother in one of the coolest blogger around, Xiang from XiangCool.com It always amazes me to see this young chap, not married, still single and I believe available (but highly in demand because he has hairy arms :P) playing away with Ethan. When I was his age and without a child, I dislike children! I can never stand seeing children running here and there. I never […]

My daily life with Samsung Galaxy S3

Follow me on FB and you’ll know that I got hold of the Samsung Galaxy S3 on the day they were launched not too long ago. The first thing I did was to tear the security seal off and… Whoa! Macam monyet I was amazed at how the seal reveals the word ‘OPEN’ once it is peeled off the white box! Security max-lah as you won’t be able to reuse that seal! Seal of approval […]

Animal lover?

Darling and I don’t like cats and dogs. We’ll never go near them. In a way we’ve ‘made’ Ethan not to like cats and dogs too :( Ethan will run miles away if he sees a cat or dog near him. Somehow he likes other animals. We frequent Rabbit Fun Land in Semenyih often as we have to pass by that place each time we go back to my in-law’s place. Ethan loves petting those […]

Glycemic Index: Measure of changes to the sugar level in the bloodstream of a child

*48 hours sticky post. Scroll down for latest updates* The other day in Ethan’s paed office, I read in the HealthToday magazine regarding GL. It was an eye-opener article. There has been a lot of stuff in the media and online about added sugars in growing up milk powder and the health impact resulting from consuming too much added sugars. Do you know sugar can reduce the learning capacity and adversely affect school children’s grades? […]

DIY Photo Frame

We did a picture frame project last weekend in the Studio. It is for the kids to showcase their favourite family photo in conjunction with Parents’ month. DIY Foam Picture Frame Place a smaller rectangle paper in the middle of a larger rectangle craft foam. Draw the outline. Cut according to the line. Paste a sheet of plastic over the cut out hole. Paste a coloured construction paper on a piece of rectangle hard board […]

Petrol is now available in shopping complex

Do you know that you can now fill up on petrol while shopping? Yeah, our Malaysia boleh spirit has taken the bold step of setting up petrol stations in the car park of shopping malls. I was taken aback when Darling drove us to 1U several weeks ago. I exclaimed, “Whoa! Now you can fill up HERE!” (though we don’t actually use that brand lah). Darling said, “Dangerous weh, if explode, the whole shopping mall […]

Never, ever, EVER cut an Ang Pow packet open!

I’ve heard it a thousand times. Old folks always say NEVER, EVER cut an Ang Pow packet open. You may tear it open but don’t ever CUT it! I never realized the significant of that sayings until recently when we were given an Ang Pow packet each. Darling and I gave ours to Ethan for him to tear them open and take out the money. I saw him tearing both Darling’s and my red packet so […]

Perfect Romantic Escape

The last time we stepped foot in Langkawi was back in 2002. Wow, that was TEN years ago! @_@ There.. ten years ago in Langkawi, Darling and I looked like that ^.^ How did we let a decade passed by without returning to Langkawi? Maybe we got married, delivered a baby and life got so hectic that we did not get the chance to travel anymore :( When did my life turned so sad? :'( […]

1001 Ideas for 2 and win up to RM2,500 cash

*48 hours sticky post. Scroll down for latest update* I’m a stay at home mother. Ethan attends class for only 1 ½ hours daily and the rest of the day is spent with me at home. That means he spends a considerably large number of hours at home with me. That also means that we can get bored really easily if I do not plan for interesting activities to be done together with him. I […]

School holiday project: Pencil Topper

During the recent holidays, we made pencil topper at home. Ethan wanted to make lots of them to give his teachers when the school reopens but somehow we got sick and spent the entire holidays trying to get better :( Watch this video tutorial on how to make pencil topper. You’ll need a printer for this project. We used our HP ink advantage printer that Ethan is so very familiar with..

Sakae Sushi @ Paradigm Mall

Paradigm Mall. Have you heard of Paradigm Mall? By now lots have been said about that mall. We visited that mall two days after their official opening and sad to say that it was extremely dusty.  The floor was slippery and I almost slip a couple of times. It was not easy navigating through the awkwardly designed mall with bottleneck human traffic at certain areas of the mall. That was my first visit to the […]

Sugar toast

Every once in a while, I let Ethan indulge in something not so healthy :P His favourite ‘unhealthy’ food is of course, sugar toast. It’s so easy to prepare. Just spread butter on a piece of sandwich bread. Toast it on my favourite Tefal pan. Turn it around. Once golden, sprinkle some sugar and you are done :D Ethan loves it so much, it’s finger licking GOOD! :D

Singing and Playing the Piano

After two months of piano lessons, Ethan now loves to sing and play the piano at the same time. I can so gladly trade all the shouting at home with the piano sound (and his singing too). It’s so much easier to keep him occupied these days. He’ll either be playing with his vehicle set, building blocks or the piano. That only means I have more time to BLOG :P Nah.. he’ll force me to […]

Homemade Soya bean milk

It’s pretty hot these days. Took a shower and got all sweaty again soon after. I’ve not boiled soy milk for some time now and today seems like the perfect day to have some! I soaked a bowl of soy bean in the morning and by the time Ethan is back from school they are all nice and fluffy. I let Ethan peel the skin off those beans as he enjoys playing with them. I […]

Rock Out Twice As Hard With Twins

Hi, my name is Ethan. I’m sure most of you are already familiar with me. After all, my mommy always feature me in her blog. What you don’t know is, I have a twin. Her name is Eden. She’s extremely shy. She’d rather remain anonymous and not appear in our mommy’s blog. She’s the total opposite of me. I like to partay while she rather stay at home *cough boring!* I like going out. Mingling […]

Ethan’s first charity outing with underprivileged kids

Several days ago, I found out that Genting is organising a Charity Movie Screening event for underprivileged children to enjoy a fun day out at the resorts along with Genting’s social media fans! Immediately I volunteered (through Nuffnang) myself and Ethan for that. It’s the school holidays so I thought it will be a good idea for Ethan and I to give back to society. We were required to buy gifts for the children. One gift per person so […]
