Ee Chinese Cuisine’s 2017 Chinese New Year Menu
Chinese New Year is all about families, friends and loved ones getting together under one roof indulging in wholesome and sumptuous reunion dinners and reconnecting with each other.
Being one of the traditional festivals, Chinese New Year is the grandest and most important annual event celebrated among the Chinese communities across the world.
Today, let us bring you to a preview of what Eastin Hotel Kuala Lumpur has to offer this Chinese New Year.
Eastin Hotel Kuala Lumpur has outdone themselves with their amazing decor this year. A couple of Golden Phoenix flying boldly to grace the entrance at Ee Chinese Cuisine is a sight to behold.

Beautiful red lanterns adorn the ceiling; setting the mood for Chinese New Year.
To usher in the auspicious Year of the Rooster, the Master Chefs at Ee Chinese Cuisine have lined up flavoursome festive dishes that exquisitely blend both traditional and modern flavours to create an epicurean feast for both young and old alike.
Toss for good luck, health, wealth and prosperity this Chinese New Year with Eastinâs unique concoctions of Yee Sang. Choose from Salmon Trout, White Tuna, Jelly Fish, Shell Fish, Seabird Nest & Pear and Smoked Duck.
Price starts from RM98nett per serving.
Thick salmon cuts with a beautifully twisted rosette in the middle.Â
Rice crispies were also spotted among the ingredients of our yee sang.
Extra virgin olive oil were used for lou sang for better health this Chinese New Year.Â
The delicious Prosperous Rainbow Yee Sang with Salmon Trout and Crispy Fish Skin.
Eight Treasures Seafood Soup is a combination of 8 full nutritious ingredients to celebrate this auspicious occasion. We detected sea cucumber, fish lips, bamboo shoots, prawn and crab meat, mushroom, scallop and water chestnut in this piping hot soup.Â
Pei Pa Duck derives its name from the Chinese musical instrument Pipa; a four-stringed lute. The duck is usually served spread out like a pear shaped Pipa. We love the thin crispy skin and the sauce goes really well with a bowl of steamed white rice.Â
The best way to enjoy eating this duck is to ditch your fork and spoon and just use your fingers as demonstrated by Ethan who clearly was enjoying his fowl.Â
Steamed Giant Grouper Fillet was brilliant. We get to eat it while it is still hot as there is no need to remove the bones as it comes de-boned and perfectly fillet to bite size. The ginger blended with scallions gave this dish an extra oomph!Â
Wok-Fried Sea Prawns tossed with Golden Salted Egg Glaze
A delicious Chinese recipe. Jumbo sea prawns are wok-fried in a rich glaze, made from salted egg yolks.
Luxury at its best, this Stuffed Sea Cucumber with Sha Jiang Oyster, Garden Greens and Sea Moss Sauce not only looks good, it tastes even better.Â
Sea cucumber with its gelatinous texture is a delicacy in Chinese cuisines and having it stuffed and soaked in delicious sea moss sauce is truly captivating.Â
Steamed Glutinous Rice with Cured Wax Meat was served in individual portions. A favourite with my boys as they simply love glutinous rice.Â
Batter Fried Nian Gao with Sweet Potato was not too sweet with an interesting crispy texture on the outside and chewy on the inside.Â
We ended our scrumptious meal with this nutritious and refreshing Double-Boiled Papaya with Osmanthus Flower drink.
We were also serenaded by these lovely duo who performed evergreen Chinese hits every Thursday nights.Â

Such an elegant place. Ooooo…duck!!! I want! I want!!!
Wow! Everything looked so delicious. The salmon, yee sang and even the fried nian gao. So tempting lah!!
Wah, the kids are indeed lucky to be able to have a big feast like this!
I haven’t had yee sang yet, hehe!
I like the Wok-Fried Sea Prawns best but are the prawns still in their shells a bit? What are the “Winter Delights” ?
All the dishes looked very delicious and well presented. I love that huge red door with 2 Phoenix birds ushering us! I also have this habit to eat with my hands and got stares from Ang Moh guests. LOL
