The Big Bad Wolf Book Preview Sale
Believe it or not, we’ve never been to a Big Bad Wolf book sale until today. I’ve always dreaded going to any sale; fearing the crowd, the queue and all. But then a couple of weeks ago I received an invitation to the preview of The Big Bad Wolf sale and decided to give it a try. It is a preview sale after all so it won’t be too crowded right?
These passes made their way to my mailbox a day before yesterday.
Since it is our virgin trip to The Big Bad Wolf sale, we did not know what to expect. I saw many people with their luggage bags and I was like, “is there a shuttle bus to the airport or something?”. We steady only walked in empty handed. We did not even bring Ayden’s stroller as we were afraid it might be too crowded.
But as soon as we entered we were amazed at how spacious it is so I told Darling to go back to the car park to get Ayden’s stroller coz I know I won’t be able to carry him for hours here.
Spacious right? Spot Ayden in the stroller. Can you see what he’s doing? Let me give you a close-up…
He’s already enjoying his book.
It was a breeze shopping today as Ayden was extremely well-behaved. He sat in his stroller all the time with a book in his hand while the big brother held on to me asking if he can buy this book and that. We skipped the Novel, Self-Help and Romance section as I don’t read all those. We spent all of our time in the Children’s book section.
After an hour or so here, we proceeded to the counter to pay.
It’s the preview sale so the crowd was ok. The kids even ran around ‘limbo-rocking’ while the father was busy paying.
We saw this on our way out and Ethan insisted to take a picture here. Ayden happily obliged.
We saw this book table and stool and was so tempted to get them for my studio. I was told they are made of solid wood.
This was the last thing we saw before leaving and again Ethan insisted to have a picture.
It was our first time here and I actually kind of enjoyed it. Firstly because the boys, especially Ayden were well-behaved today. Secondly is because OMG the books here are so affordable! I feel like grabbing everything and putting them in the box and finally understood why there were so many people with luggage bags here. It is for their books! Gosh..
Our Big Bad Wolf haul today. RM91 for all those. Ayden’s books are all hard covered board books and they go from as low as RM3!
Only after I shared this picture with my friends did I feel a tinge of regret for buying so few books :( Next year, if I get to go to the preview sale again, I’ll make sure to bring along my luggage bag too!
There is always the 1st time. I wish I have my 1st time too. Minus the kids of course, then I can spend hours going through those books.
Those with luggages are experts so they know they will buy a lot. Haha.
Next year you go earlier to avoid crowds and queues.
Still thinking wanna go or not :P Cause I know I will splurge like nobody on cookbooks like last year >_<
Tell me about it? I went crazy over all the books, ranging from kids book, fiction, encyclopedia n on and on. till today there are a few I haven’t have time to read it, But I love BBW. I stopped myself n tell myself, u need to finish reading fist before uying a new one. Anyway, I am far from KL
Book lovers will sure love this. Ayden is a book lover too, see how he reads his books now. :D
Went there today and the crowds are still lesser…wait til u see during the weekend….im sure lots n lots sea of people….manage to get 54 books and i only spent ard rm 300…..good buys ehhh…. cheers!!!
as usual practice, I go after 1am as crowd is lesser and books falls back in place. You can really take your own sweet time to go through all of the sections.
Really love your entry! How I wish I could be there too. Too bad I’m from Sabah.
