One World Hotel Christmas Light Up Ceremony
We were in One World Hotel last week for their Christmas Light Up Ceremony and also the launch of Grant-A-Wish for the children of House of Joy.
The gifts for the children
Some staffs of One World Hotel who are also sponsors to the kids awaiting the arrival of the children, aged 5 to 16 years old.
The kids were treated to a special performance by a choir, presenting Christmas songs such as Jingle Bells and Merry Christmas.
The kids were super excited when Alvin and the Chipmunks made their special appearance. This is in collaboration with Fox’s forthcoming movie release, Alvin and The Chipmunks 3 Chipwrecked, which is kicking in the cinemas TODAY!
Mr Ho Hoy Sum, One World General Manager launching the Christmas Light Up ceremony.
This girl is one of the 30 underprivileged children who got their wish fulfilled that night.
Back in Cinnamon Coffee House, it was all ready for a jolly good dinner with the children and media.
What is Christmas without the turkey right? Here is the Chef busy cutting the turkey for guests. The turkey is served with fresh cranberry sauce, potato wedges and broccoli.
Roast turkey with potato wedges and broccoli
The roast beef is done medium rare and is still very pink inside. This is perfect as it PINK not raw and is very juicy.
I had my very first Christmas Yule log that evening.
While the children being children, makes it a point to have ICE-CREAM :D
More mouth-watering Christmas desserts.
I found a jewel in the buffet spread – Fried Laksa Noodles! Hah! THIS I haven’t tried before and I so love the texture of the noodles being fried with spice and everything nice.
There’s another FIRST try for me that evening too – Teppanyaki Ice-cream! It was my first time seeing ice-cream being prepared teppanyaki style and the end result is simply out of this world! I had several servings of this until Ethan had to take them away from me reprimanding me that I’m prone to the flu after having ice-cream!! -.-
Santarina going around distributing goodies. Santa was around too.
