Sleep talking
Daddy Daddy,
Daddy Daddy,
Hello Daddy,
I Love You.
Mummy Mummy,
Mummy Mummy,
Hello Mummy,
I Love You.
That was the 2 verses of Disney’s Magic English Volume 1 song. Ethan loves that song so much, he is trying to memorise it by heart. Everywhere he goes, he’ll be singing IT. Here is HIS version though..
Daddy Daddy,
Daddy… Two Daddy….
Two Two Daddy…
Hello Daddy…
He can actually visualise there are two Daddy words in each line! But somehow his lyrics got all jumbled up and ended up with the word TWO included in it! When he sang that to my neighbours in the playground, they laughed their hearts out because according to them, Ethan is revealing to the world that he has TWO Daddies! OMG!
Anyway, that poor boy has been trying his level best to memorise that song without success. The other night, Ethan was in his cot sleeping when Darling and I were just about to go to bed too. Suddenly, we heard him saying, “Daddy, Daddy“… I peeped into his cot, but he was still sleeping so soundly. Then again he said, “Hello..“. Alamaks, my poor baby! So stressful!!!!
This has been going on for two nights in a row. So yesterday, I purposely get him to watch other volume of the D.M.E cd, but still, the Daddy Daddy song is the easiest yet. He likes other volumes of the Magic English but when song is concern, his favourite is still the Daddy Daddy…
It is cute to see how determine he is to memorise that song which seems soooo simple to us adult, and yet can be so difficult to a toddler. But to see him ‘singing’ it in his sleep, I can’t help but wonder if he is stressing himself too much… :)
