Genting Highland Outdoor Theme Park

It’s Ethan’s birthday weekend so we decided to go up to Genting! We are lucky to be living just an hour away from Genting. Anytime we feel like it, we can just take the car and drive up. Unlike our previous trip where we took the cable car just to let the kids experience the ride, this time we drove straight up to Genting. It was that cold when we arrived shortly before noon. Got […]

Flying Firefly to Kuala Terengganu

When Darling first decided to go to Redang Island for our holiday, he contemplated flying either AirAsia, Berjaya or Firefly. Taking a bus to Kuala Terengganu is totally out of the question-lah for yours truly here gets travel sickness like nobody’s business. We wanted to take Berjaya so that we can skip the bus part and straight board the boat to Redang. But Berjaya was extremely expensive for our choice of dates. It was almost […]

Scuba Diving in Redang

It was Day 2 in Redang. The weather was fine and the sea was calm. Darling decided to try scuba diving.. So we took a slow walk along the bridge leading to the diving site. The diving rates. Since Darling is just ‘discovering scuba’ and will be diving with no license whatsoever, he was charged RM160 for equipment and coaching. I wanted to try too but the gas tank is very heavy hence I chickened-out […]

Snorkeling at Redang Island

Our 3D/2N Redang trip is inclusive of 3 snorkeling trips – twice at the open sea and once at the Marine Park. Rental of life jacket and goggles are at RM15 respectively. RM5 Marine Conservation fee per person is to be paid for the Marine Park visit. We went for the open sea snorkeling trip first. We did not bring our camera with us to the open sea hence no pictures of the journey whatsoever. […]

Laguna Redang Island Resort

We went for some sun, sea and sand over the weekend :D The water is still amazingly crystal clear in Redang. I love it! When I think of Redang, I can only think of Laguna Redang Island Resort. I don’t know why.. Ethan @ Laguna Redang Island Resort :) Ethan @ More More Tea Ethan ‘bersantai’ ^_^ The swimming pool. Now let’s take a look at the room we stayed :D Lovely and spacious room. The […]

Choosing the right lifejacket for kids

We are heading to somewhere for some SUN, SEA and BREEZE soon :D I remembered when we went there last time they don’t even have proper lifejackets for kids. Even the lifejackets they have for adults are smelly and yucky. I remembered Darling saying the lifejacket he got then smelt of ‘ketiak’ (armpit)! @[email protected] *vomit* It’s very important for kids to have the correct fitting lifejackets so we went shopping for Ethan’s lifejacket the other […]

Casa del Rio Melaka

We were lucky to be invited to Casa del Rio Melaka Open House last Saturday. Darling, Ethan and I woke up really early in the morning and began our journey down south. We took the North-South Highway and exited at Ayer Keroh Toll Plaza. Drove another 15 minutes or so and here we are at the Quay Side overlooking Casa del Rio! :D Located on Jalan Kota Laksamana, the hotel is a literal two minute […]

Malacca River Cruise

We were in Malacca last weekend and this time I did not just stay home. I ‘toured’ the city :D We met up with Carol and Eric and started planning what to do. I tell you, being a Malaccan, I’m the BEST person to get opinion of where to go, what to do and eat in Malacca! My answer is always an almost immediate, “DUNNO” LoL! What can I say? I seldom go out jalan-jalan […]

World’s Tallest Indoor Tube Slide

We went to Empire Mall for the very first time a couple of days ago. I needed to look for something but couldn’t find it in the end. What we did discover however was… This! The world’s tallest indoor tube slide! Aiyayayaya! My knees went wobbly just looking at it! This is the ‘launching’ platform.. No turning back once you’re tossed out of that hole! All the way down, down, down and down. Four-storey down! […]

Malacca Butterfly & Reptile Sanctuary

One of the activities during our stay at Philea Resort and Spa, Ayer Keroh, Malacca recently was a visit to the Malacca Butterfly & Reptile Sanctuary. It is situated just after the Ayer Keroh Toll Plaza from North South Expressway. We took a buggy from the resort to the Butterfly farm. Kimmy feasting on crickets :P The first thing we did upon entering was to feed the monkeys bananas followed by feeding the iguanas life […]

Philea Resort & Spa, Ayer Keroh, Melaka

We spent an unforgettable weekend at Philea Resort & Spa, the largest and biggest log resort in Malaysia recently. Located in fast developing Ayer Keroh, Melaka and wholly owned by Majestic Hotels & Resorts Sdn Bhd; they invested RM140 million for a total of 15 acres of luxury living and relaxation. “Philea was built utilizing natural resources. The resources are Malaysian-made; using 8,000 pieces of disused railway sleepers for staircases, more than 6,000 tons of […]

Indoor Theme Park @ Genting

It has been almost a decade since the last time Darling and I stepped foot in Genting. We have always wanted to go back there again but has always been procrastinating. Last week we ‘planned’ of going but was never really serious about it. Then on Sunday Ethan woke up really early prompting me to shove Darling out of bed and get ready. We got ready in a jiffy and I sms-edMakcik Irene.. Mana tau, […]

Singapore River Cruise

When we visited Merlion Park, Ethan requested to ride on the River Cruise but we were in a rush to somewhere else that we had to decline his request. However in the evening, with slightly over 2 hours to go before boarding our flight, we made a quick dash for the Singapore River Cruise. Unfortunately for us, when we arrived Merlion Park we were told that there will be no boat available until at least […]

Sands SkyPark, Marina Bay Singapore

One of the MUST go places in Singapore is the Sands SkyPark, Marina Bay. Marina Bay Sands, the world’s most expensive hotel, was officially opened in June 2010. Designed by the renowned architect Moshe Safdie, the three-towered hotel has over 2500 rooms, a casino, an indoor canal and a museum among other grand attractions. But the highlight of this luxury resort is its infinity pool on the roof of the boat-shaped ‘SkyPark’ perched atop the […]

Universal Studio Singapore

After that horrifying experiencein the Night Safari the night before, we woke up early, fresh and ready to start the day with happy thoughts. Universal Studio Singapore In case you get lost. But seriously, you won’t! It’s all just a circle. Walk along the road and you’ll end up at the starting point. You won’t be able to get lost even if you wanted too! :P The weather was PERFECT! First stop – Guest Services […]

Horror in Singapore Night Safari

The first day we were in Singapore, we spent half a day resting in our hotel room. In the evening, we waited anxiously at the lobby of our hotel for the Fun Vee Hopper to take us to the Tourist Hub at the Singapore Flyer to validate our Night Safari ticket. After validating our tickets, they took us to the Night Safari… The Fun Vee Hopper that took us to the Night Safari and back […]

Marina Mandarin Singapore

For our trip to Singapore, we stayed in Marina Mandarin Hotel. Conveniently located in the city, Marina Mandarin Singapore offers easy access to shopping and nearby attractions, stunning city views and a 25-metre mineral water pool. Attractions nearby the Marina Mandarin Singapore include The Esplanade, Merlion and the Singapore Flyer.  Extremely wonderful, friendly and helpful staffs. The moment we stepped out of the cab, the porter helped us right away and the concierge staff lead […]

Aquaria KLCC

We went to Aquaria KLCC the only state-of the art 60,000 sq. ft. aquarium right in the heart of beautiful Kuala Lumpur City last Sunday. The usual admission fee is RM35 for adult with MyKad. But we got our tickets during the last MATTA fair at RM20 only per adult :) The first thing we saw as we entered were the piranhas. Don’t play a fool here, can you see skeletons all over? Scary.. *shivering […]

Rabbit Fun Land, Broga

City folks live a life full of stress. If you are willing to go a distance of about a half-hour drive out of the Klang Valley, you’ll discover a fun petting land in Broga just outside of Kajang town. Unlike the old days when the winding road will guarantee to give you motion sickness, the newly constructed road will give you a feeling of calm and serenity while driving pass Nottingham University campus and then […]

Zoo Negara, KL

Since Ethan enjoyed the Bird Park trip so much, we thought why not bring him to the zoo too? It will be so much more fun as he will get to see many types of animals. So to the zoo we went…Ticket price is RM15 per adult. As we entered, we were greeted by monkeys..   monkeys   and more monkeys! I was like, what? monkeys again? And let me tell you, they don’t smell […]
