Taman Santai Strawberry Park, Genting

A few weeks ago we brought Ayden up to Genting for the very first time. With Ethan, we used to frequent Genting twice a month but after I delivered Ayden, we stopped going up until recently. On our way down after spending 3D/2N in Awana Genting, we stopped by this Taman Santai Strawberry Genting. This strawberry farm is different from the one we’ve been with Ethan quite some time ago called Goh Tong Strawberry Park. […]

Should Kids Be Playing with Toy Guns?

I don’t know if you remember but I was very against Ethan playing with toy guns when he was younger. My Dad was very excited to buy him toy guns but I stopped him, telling him that I dislike Ethan playing with weapons eventhough they are just toys. Obviously my dad was very disappointed, annoyed even but he respected my stand. I was even interviewed by a newspaper publication yet I vehemently stood by my […]

DIY Butter Sandwich

It’s the school holidays this week and I have two constantly hungry boys at home. While I was in the kitchen preparing snacks for tea yesterday, Ayden had an accident in his cot. He knocked his teeth against the cot and bleed a little. Today, I decided to let the boys make their own snack. Ok maybe Ethan will be the one making it while Ayden sits down and observe :D I should have let […]

Ayden’s 1st birthday celebration continues…

Ayden celebrated his first birthday twice. First in Malacca with my parents, family and friends and another time with my in-laws. Again, we got him another cute cake. This time it is a single tiger cake. Tiger Cake. 2.15kg moist chocolate cake with chocolate ganache. We went for a private dinner at Restoran Loon Sing in Nilai with my in-laws. My in-laws love this place. We dined here like so many times dy. Chinese New […]

Ayden’s 1st Birthday Celebration in Malacca

Ayden finally turned ONE on the 31 August 2014. We had two celebrations to celebrate my little boy’s first birthday. One in my hometown Melaka and another in Darling’s hometown, Seremban. This post shall touch on the celebration in Malacca only. The one in Seremban will be posted in another post.  I quite enjoyed the preparation for the party part in Malacca as I had fun with my dad and nieces decorating my parents’ house. Ayden loves […]

Self-feeding baby

I read that most babies are able to begin self-feeding at seven to eight months. I know if you send your baby to a babysitter, for sure your baby will be able to self-feed by their seventh month as babies are often more independent there.  Ayden is turning ONE in a week’s time but I have yet to start him on baby led weaning. Baby Led Weaning means letting your child feed themselves from the very […]

Music Mobile

When I was pregnant with Ethan long long time ago, I bought this musical mobile at a baby fair. It was selling very cheap then. I super love it because it is cute and the horses doubles as rattles as well. And then Ethan grew up and I kept this mobile and his baby cot away.   I kept the music mobile in a safe place, so safe that I forgotten where it was. When […]

Paper Plate Cow

Ethan made this cute paper plate cow back in 2011 but it got stolen during one of our craft events in Tropicana City Mall some time ago. Who on Earth would steal a child’s cow craft buffles me.  Paper Plate Cow Ethan at 4 years old back in 2011. Ethan and his cow before someone stole it. So cute this boy last time.  Why I’m sharing this again today is because we made another cow […]

DIY Tissue Box Whale

Darling, Ethan and I have been brainstorming for a theme for Ayden’s first birthday. Ethan even suggested to have it ala Independence Day as Ayden’s birthday falls on the 31 August but I disagree. It’s not like Ayden understands a thing about our Independence Day. It is HIS birthday and we should do something that is familiar to him. He loves looking at pictures of animals and each time we go shopping, he will play […]

Planning for Ayden’s First Birthday Bash

Did I tell you that Ayden’s birthday is less than a month away? We’ll be celebrating his birthday at my parent’s place in Malacca as it will be such a hassle to expect my parents, uncles and aunts to travel up to KL just for a baby’s birthday and without them, the party will be such a bore and quite meaningless. Furthermore, I’ll get the much needed help in Malacca because here, I am all […]

We were back in Malacca over the weekend to celebrate this girl’s first birthday. She’s my cousin’s daughter. She and Ayden are born only a month apart with her on the 3 August while Ayden on the 31 August 2013. Let’s look at them growing up: 3 to 4 months old 4 to 5 months And now as 11 to 12 months old babies: Oh dear, Ayden is a bit stunned there. Let me take […]

Hometown

Hello hello! School holiday’s over and it’s back to the grind today. We went back to my hometown in Malacca last Saturday and came back on Sunday afternoon. It was a very short trip to attend my cousin’s first born daughter’s first birthday. We came back to PJ early to avoid the expected jam on the highway. Thank goodness we were not caught in any jam to and fro.  Though we were in Malacca less […]

A Color A Day Porridge For Babies

Ayden is exactly 11 months now and I am very thankful that he is still enjoying his porridge. I try to make his porridge more interesting by having color themes during weekdays. Weekends will be colorful rainbow porridge. The reason I make color themed porridge is for Ayden to be able to taste the different core ingredients throughout the week and not be bored down with the usual mix of everything. It’s also a great […]

Swimming With A Float Neck Ring In A Public Pool

Hello! How are you all doing? How was your long weekend? As for us, we spent the evenings swimming away in the pool. When I was pregnant with Ayden, I swam at least once a week. I can feel Ayden kicking me each time I went for a dip. I sensed then that he loves water and true enough, this boy of mine loves swimming and splashing. His first swim was when he was 3 […]

Thistle Port Dickson

We went to Port Dickson again last weekend. This time to celebrate Ethan’s birthday. With Ayden still young, turning 11 month old this month end, we do not even bother to travel anywhere far as it will be very tiring for US as well as Ayden himself. Therefore when Darling told Ethan that he can pick a place to go for his birthday, Darling also reminded him that he is only allowed to choose a […]

Fairy Tale Puppy Love

We went for dinner with some friends last night at LINK, Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar and the kids hit it off wonderfully. Well, it was not their first time meeting each other. They were already friends way back in 2012 but they were just young children then. Ethan and Samantha during our holiday in Johor back in 2012. Read about our stay together here. Fast forward to the present, they are big boy and girl […]

Malaysia Giant Pandas experience

So the much anticipated moment is here. We can now visit those pandas in the zoo as the Giant Panda Conservation Centre (GPCC) is finally open to the public. It will cost RM50 to view the giant pandas. The two giant pandas have been given new names by Malaysians to welcome them to their home for the next 10 years. Fu Wa, the male panda, is now called Xing Xing which means Prosperity, while female panda Feng Yi is […]

FUN Snow Sleds @ 1 Utama

We were in 1 Utama today and stumbled upon a FROZEN area much to our surprise. It’s not Christmas yet but it’s snowing in 1 Utama! “Let It Go… Let It Go!” Haha.. Yep! I heard children singing that famous soundtrack from Frozen! What surprised us was the snow sledding activity. It looks like so much FUN and Ethan pestered me to go check if he can try it and sure enough, he CAN! Not only […]

Attention Seeking Baby

Ayden is 9 months old. He is more independent now. I can leave him in his cot while I go to the bathroom or kitchen and he’ll play on his own. He isn’t like this before. Previously he was very attention seeking. He’ll wail his lungs out if I leave him in the cot and disappear from his sight. He made me run back to him immediately to check if he’s alright but after some […]

Growing Longer Legs : Genetics and Growth

For every child born, his/her height is determined primarily by genetic factors. Doubling a child’s height at age two is a close predictor to estimate the child’s height as an adult as a child normally reaches half of his or her adult height by that time. If that is the case, Ethan might not grow into a tall, dark and handsome young man. As it is now at almost 7 years old, he is already lagging behind when it […]

School Holidays

It’s the school holidays and gawd knows what Ethan is up to! That boy is in that super imaginative stage and I MUST keep an eye on him all the time! He’s so into Super Heroes that I dont feel safe leaving him on his own. I have a friend who lost his son because that innocent boy jumped down from his apartment thinking he is Superman and he can fly. I can never get […]

Hand Foot Mouth Disease – The Double Dose

It was Sunday morning. We needed to be on location for a recording session at 8.30am so my plan was to wake up at 7am to get the kids and my make-up ready but at 5am, Ayden woke up crying. I thought he wanted milk so I just latched him on with my eyes still close. But he did not want milk. He was gagging and that jolted me wide awake. I held him up […]

Ayden’s 8 months picture journey

With a blink of an eye, little Ayden is 8 months old already. It feels like just yesterday he popped out unexpectedly on Merdeka Day. Surprisingly, we are all coping pretty well with his arrival. I still have time to blog! I thought with his arrival, my blog will be gone and forgotten but no, it is still surviving *pops confetti* Here’s a picture journey of him from newborn to the present at 8 months […]
