Genting SKYTROPOLIS
When Ethan was younger, we went up to Genting fortnightly as we had the annual pass to their theme park then. It is only an hour drive from our house hence we don’t mind going up that often. Unfortunately, they closed that theme park down to make way for another bigger project theme park that is yet to complete todate.
They do however, have a smaller scale theme park indoor called Skytropolis. We decided to bring the boys there last weekend. Ayden get to enjoy more rides as the queue to Child Rides are shorter compared to the Thrill Rides.
Watch our video here to see some of the rides in Skytropolis Genting.
And here are some pictures of us at Skytropolis.
It is cheaper to get the tickets online. We got ours from Wonderfly. No queue, no waiting… just BOOK and flash your Wonderfly E-Ticket QR Code and you are good to go!

One of Ayden’s favourite track ride – Loop De Loop
Loop De Loop is a miniature track ride with mild curves and slopes for children.
His next favourite ride is the Boo Boo Bump, a miniature bumper car ride for children.
If you are an adult wanting to bump into others, fret not, bumper cars for adults called Bumper Boss are available too.
I made Ethan go on this crazy Power Surge ride with me. Intense high-flying ride with wild spinning and upside-down motion, tossing us around and dangling us in mid air.
It is good to know my aging heart can still take all these thrills. Haha.
Another upside-down ride is Spin Crazy. This is a gigantic spinning pendulum with 360-degree spins in the air.
Copper Express is a family-friendly open-top train ride.
Ayden enjoys the Whirly Bugs too. A fun ride on gigantic bugs for children that spins mildly.
What is a theme park without a ride on the merry-go-round right?
There are more rides here but we don’t have pictures to all of them as sometimes we were so engrossed on the rides that we did not bother to take pictures. There are more rides coming soon in the future so yeah, we will definitely be looking forward to them.
*faints*
I’d go with Ayden. Here we go Loop de loop, here we go Loop de lie…
