5 Tips For Buying School Uniforms This “BACK TO SCHOOL” Season

It is that time of the year again to start getting everything ready for the next academic year. It is wise to spend wisely as there will be a lot of stuffs to purchase. One of the first and most important things that comes to mind is school uniform.

When we consider that school children spend at least 6 hours a day wearing their uniforms in our hot and humid weather, we know that this is definitely one of the most important items in their “back to school” list and should be taken seriously. Therefore, it is necessarily for these school uniforms to be comfortable, natural, high-quality and well-sewn.

Cloth of School Uniform

If possible shirts and blouses should acquire the most natural breathable materials. This is important because school children will be in these uniforms almost the entire day and the materials are in direct contact with their skin.

Size of School Uniform

Properly determine the size by measuring the height, shoulder and waist circumference of the child. If possible, bring the child along to try on the uniform for the best fit before purchasing. When trying on pants, make the child sit or squat in it to ensure he is comfortable in it. For shirt or blouse, try lifting the arms to make sure their movements are not restricted.

Do not purchase school uniforms that is too snug considering the child is going to spend a large amount of time in it as it can lead to discomfort. Also refrain from purchasing too big a size of school uniform as it will be inconvenient to move actively in it.

Outward Appearance

School uniforms should look neat and presentable. This will help build a child’s confidence. The belief that they look good is necessary for each student, because even first-graders notice what and how classmates dressed.

Hassle-free

Ironing clothes on a daily basis can be a big hassle. Look for crease-resistant uniform. It will save loads of time and energy.

Affordable Uniform

These days it is not impossible to get inexpensive yet high in quality school uniforms. Shopping for school uniforms in hypermarkets can help you save a fortune. Hypermarkets such as Tesco now cover a whole range of school items from school uniforms to shoes to school bags and stationery.

We bought a complete set of the boys’ school uniform from Tesco’s BACK TO SCHOOL promotion recently and was pleasantly surprised at how cheap it was. AStar white shirt is selling at only RM5 per piece! This is so much cheaper compared to buying uniforms direct from the supplier at school and best of all, these are good quality school uniforms.
