Fun Learning with HP Little Makers Challenge

The rainy season is here and this situation is expected to last till the end of the year. With the boys cooped up at home unable to go to the playground due to these constant evening showers, I have to think of something to keep them occupied.

Children these days get glued to their gadgets easily if we don’t practice certain control over them. With them getting more and more exposed to different types of technology everyday, it is up to us adults to make the most out of it. We can guide our children to make full use of technology through proper use and knowledge.

In line with today’s focus on technology-based learning, HP Inc. Malaysia takes pride with their HP Little Makers Challenge: Family Edition which aims to encourage creativity, learning and family experiences powered by HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3700 (currently the world’s smallest inkjet all-in-one printer).

HP Little Makers: Family Edition has a total of 8 fun and educational challenges for children aged 5 to 12 years old, touching on topics ranging from science, geography and art.

So here we are on a rainy evening, happily selecting one of the fun challenges to complete.

Little Ayden and I love the ocean hence our obvious choice is Challenge #8

We printed the template from our handy HP printer.

Also included in the template are pictures of rubbish that harm the ocean. I took this opportunity to explain to Ayden how these waste items can harm the sea creatures and ways to prevent them from getting into the ocean.

We proceeded to cut out the scuba diver, submarine, plants and sea animals.

It’s nice to listen to Ayden telling me again how we can help Mother Nature by preventing waste items from getting into the ocean and also to reduce the use of single-use plastics. At least I know that he understood everything that was being explained to him earlier.

Our task of the day – to learn through play is done.
