Crocodile Adventureland Langkawi

When was your last visit to Crocodile Adventureland Langkawi? We brought the boys here a couple of weeks ago and had such a great time!

Crocodile Adventureland Langkawi is the largest crocodile adventureland in Malaysia. Located at Teluk Datai Bay and about 10 minutes from the Langkawi cable car, Crocodile Adventureland Langkawi has an area of 10 acres with plenty of activities to keep visitors entertained.

CROCODILE ADVENTURELAND LANGKAWI

Jalan Datai, Mukim Air Hangat
PO Box 50, 07000 Langkawi
Kedah Darul Aman

Tel: +604 959 2559

Nestled amongst nature surrounded with greenery, we had an enjoyable time taking a leisurely stroll around the park.

Several Packages are available to choose from. We took Combo C which consist of:

  • Entrance Ticket to Crocodile Adventureland Langkawi
  • 1 fishing crocodile
  • 1 packet pellet for juvenile crocodile feeding
  • Photo pass voucher
  • In house tour guide

If it is your first time here, I would recommend for you to take the package with the in house tour guide. The tour guide will lead you along the park, sharing information on the many types of crocodiles. They will also remind us of the various activities hours so we won’t miss out on these shows.

Our guide speaks good English and is very well verse not only about crocodiles but the eagles flying above us too. It so happened I saw a couple of eagles flying in circles above us and our guide effortlessly explained to us the eagle’s ritual of attracting its partner.

Crocodile Adventureland Langkawi showcases nearly 4,000 crocodiles from different crocodiles species like “Buaya Tembaga” (Saltwater Crocodile “the largest living crocodile species”, Tomistoma Crocodile, Siamese Crocodile and many more.

CROCODYLUS INTERPRETATION AND EDUCATION SHOW

The main show at Crocodile Adventureland Langkawi is the Crocodylus Interpretation and Education Show. Here we get to see the interaction between one of the largest crocodile in this park with its human keeper.

The show is at 11.15am daily so do plan your time accordingly.

42 years old giant crocodile “Bujang Lang” is the major attraction here in the park.

The show starts off with the playful 6 years old crocodile.

The handler showing us the crocodile’s beautiful belly.

It gets intense after this with both the handler getting up close with the giant crocodile “Bujang Lang”

One of the keeper lying on Bujang Lang.

This thrillingly brave routine of kissing the giant crocodile got the audience gasping.

When the keeper inserted his hand into the giant crocodile’s deadly jaw, we all went dead silent with my heart almost bursting as it was intensely pumping like crazy! Kids, do not try this at home!

PHOTO WITH JUVENILE CROCODILE

The boys enjoyed their encounter with a life crocodile a lot.

The friendly guide took time to share some fun facts about the crocodile to the boys.

The boys warming up to the crocodile. They were extremely excited as it was their first time touching a crocodile.

Brave little Ayden taking a personal picture with the juvenile crocodile. It is heavy for Ayden yet he managed to hold on to it long enough for me to take some shots of him and his new friend.

Big brother Ethan wanted more with the crocodile and allowed it to crawl on his back. It made an extremely good photo of them both.

Cuddling it like a baby.

The Daddy and I joined the boys for photo op with the crocodile too.

The boys with our friendly guides. Both Ethan and Ayden learned a lot about crocodiles from the guides. Such precious outdoor learning experience they gained here.

No crocodiles are harmed by our interaction with them as the guides and keepers are highly trained to ensure safety of all crocs and visitors.

GIANT CROCODILE FEEDING

We also managed to catch the giant crocodile feeding at the largest pond in the park.

There are many crocodiles in this pond. The water here is the closest to the natural habitat of a crocodile can be with plants and fish. The fish help the crocodiles here keep their teeth clean.

JUVENILE CROCODILE FEEDING

A new attraction in Crocodile Adventureland Langkawi is Crocodile Fishing.

For this activity, the boys hold a rod with chicken meat dangling to feed the crocodiles. It looks like they are fishing but in actual fact they are feeding the crocodiles. The aim here is to not let the crocodiles snap the meat off the rod easily as this activity is actually a form of exercise for the crocodiles to keep them active. We get to see these crocodiles jump to get to the meat.

Such an interesting experience we will remember for a lifetime!

Another form of feeding is pellet feeding. The boys dropped food pellets into the crocodile enclosure to see them swimming over and snapping away the pellets in a hurry.

Love this moment when all the crocodiles swim over to look at Ayden as he kneeled down to look at them.

WORLD OF CROCODILE

At World of Crocodile, we get to see the organs of a crocodile.

We also get to see and learn more about parts of crocodiles and their eggs. Do you know a crocodile eggshell consists of two layers? We don’t but now we do as we learn all about it and more here.

CROCODILE MUSEUM

There is also a crocodile museum where we get to see a real mummified giant crocodile and crocodile bones.

The boys with a mummified real giant crocodile.

Our guide explaining more about the crocodile bones to the boys.

Even the museum is located at such airy and beautiful area filled with greenery all around.

SOUVENIR SHOP

The boys minting a coin as a token of remembrance for their trip and exploration of the exciting Crocodile Adventureland.

Definitely a must-visit if you are in Langkawi.

Eeeeeee…never smile at a crocodile!!! Not even a baby one, thank you very much!

I have been to Langkawi many years ago with my hubby and I remember I have been to a crocodile park. Must be this one, I don’t remember. Or maybe this is a new park? Look more children-friendly.

Good learning experience for children. Did the boys ask to have a baby crocodile as a pet at home?

  • //

May I know how much time is needed to enjoy the activities in package 3?

      Hi Wendy,

The main attraction is the crocodile human interaction show at 11.15am and the crocodile feeding at 11.45am and 3.15pm. Hence I would recommend to spend enough time to be able to accommodate these two activities. If you are in a rush, you can catch both at 11.15am (crocodile show? and then 11.45am (crocodile feeding).

The rest of the activities are free to do according to your own time so it depends on your pace. We were there from morning till early evening as our boys really enjoyed walking and exploring the place.
