Bake with Ayden: Peanut Butter Chocolate Bundt Cake Recipe
Not too long ago, a book distributor Pansing Distribution Sdn Bhd sent Ayden a recipe book – Instant Pot Miracle Cookbook.
We do have a multi purpose pot that Ayden has been frequently using but it is a Philips All-in-One. However we are still excited to see if we could use the recipes in this book and apply it to our multi purpose pot.
This is Ayden’s very first recipe book so it is quite precious to him. He spent days studying it and decided to try the Peanut Butter Chocolate Bundt Cake. This recipe calls for the use of a bundt pan so we went to get one. Unfortunately, the bundt pan we bought could not fit into our multi purpose pot hence we had to bake it using our conventional oven after all.
It is also Ayden’s first time reading a recipe thoroughly before baking. All his previous baking were from my given instruction but this time, he did almost everything himself hence we took hours and hours to complete this bake.

REALITY
Ayden’s bundt cake
You know what? Ayden actually asked me why his cake looks different from the one in the recipe book. Hahahahaha. Usually when he cooks or bake, he has nothing to refer or compare with but this time, he keeps visualizing the image from the book and wonders why his is different. The fact that the one in the recipe book used chocolate ganache while Ayden’s is peanut butter glaze makes a huge difference too
Nevertheless, Ayden’s cake is still delicious though it does not look as beautiful as the one in the recipe book
Here is the recipe.
Ingredients:
50g bittersweet chocolate
60g plain flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
110g butter
100g sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
40g creamy peanut butter
Method:
1) In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder and salt.
2) In a medium bowl, beat butter and sugar.
3) Add eggs, one at a time.
4) Add vanilla extract.
5) Add flour mixture and beat until combined.
6) Transfer half of the batter to a small bowl.
7) Stir in melted chocolate in one half and peanut butter in the remaining half.
8) Alternately drop spoonsfuls of chocolate and peanut butter batters into the prepared pan.
9) Bake at 170C for 35 minutes
Watch this video to see Ayden reading the recipe and baking this peanut butter chocolate bundt cake. We are happy to report that this recipe is user friendly and is a success. The only thing is instead of using an Instant Pot, we used a conventional oven to bake it.

Well done to Ayden! I am impressed that he knows how to read that way. The cake looks good despite not looking like the one shown by the book.
