Stolen pictures of the boys
On Thursday (8/3/2018) after midnight, I was ready to go to bed. I set my alarm as I have to wake up in a few hours to prepare the boys for class. Suddenly a message popped out on my FB Messenger from Elie.
She alerted me that my boys’ pictures are being used by one sick fella claiming them as his own.
He even named the boys differently and was very consistent in his story about them.
It was almost 2am, yet Elie stayed up and scrolled through this guy’s Twitter account to check for pictures of my boys.
In his make-believe virtual world, Ethan is Toffie, Ayden is Money and I am Pee Kung, his sister-in-law
Elie found 20 pictures of the boys on his Twitter dating way back in November 2017 and as recent as 5 of March this year and compiled them into a list.
By then I’ve already put out a note on my FB seeking help from those who are still awake to report his account. Help started pouring in.
On Friday (9/3/2018) morning, I was flooded with messages on my Whatsapp that the boys’ pictures were also on this guy’s IG account. There were 3 of them and the lovely people around me have already started to report them even before I was made aware of it. I screen shot each and every one of them as attachment when I filed a report to the authority against this guy.
I updated my FB status to include the link to his IG as well as the list of Twitter pictures compiled by Elie earlier.
I spent my day reporting all 23 pictures, filling up a form for each picture; 23 forms to fill up altogether.
However, YOU guys ROCK! You all keep helping me to report him. ALL of your reports matters and at 2am this morning, 19 pictures on Twitter and 1 pic on IG have been removed.
I finally went to bed. When I wake up a while ago (10/3/2018), I see that ALL pictures of my boys on his Twitter and IG account have been removed.
This wont be achievable without the help from ALL OF YOU! THANK YOU!
At my time of need, I see my true family and friends. Many (even strangers) came forward to help in whatever way they find possible. Thank you for going way out to help me share my status and report eventhough it was not easy as the reporting system on Twitter and IG are quite tricky.
But together, we managed to take down all pictures of the boys as well as pictures of another blogger and her children.
This Ranny guy is now under the watch full eyes of the authority.
I know some people look down on bloggers. I was once even told straight to my face that I sell myself for blogging. I believe the correct term here should be market myself as a brand and not SELL myself but then again what do these naysayers know.
But the past 24 hours made me feel very proud to be a blogger. To see bloggers band together and readers helping me out tirelessly is simply priceless. Silent readers finally broke out of their shells and reach out to me. Concerned friends and family called to check on me.
My appreciation goes out to each and everyone of you. Thank YOU very much from me and the boys.
I’m sorry if I still havent reply to some of your PMs. Pls give me some time as I can only finally breathe now.
Love you all deep deep ❤
So glad and relief that this sickening stuff is behind you now but yet, it is good to monitor this sicko’s account. Really have such people outside that do such things. Liars! What for?
We bloggers rock!
Love you and the boys.
Hello, Pee Kung!!! Nice name, Money Money Money! LOL!!!
Glad that it’s over, so many sick people in the world! Fingers crossed, we will not come across anything like this again. Sure would do anything to help out should that happen – a friend in need is a friend indeed.
I wonder what is the purpose of doing this? To gain followers? To have contents for his followers to read? Good to hear that all of the photos have been taken down. Is he even local? The scary thing is that there is no way to know that someone else is not doing this too.
I am so shocked to hear this happened to you! I have been a fan of your blog & your 2 lovely boys. Sure I felt angry that stupid fella had done this act and I could imagine how furious you were too. I am glad good friends and people from far & near came to help you so fast to put this into history now. I am aware that my photos had been stolen too beyond my control but they were nothing so serious for me to pursue since the culprits must have loved my travel photos.
We bloggers often treated our blogs like diaries to record our lives and events besides sharing to create awareness to all. Keep going!
I think this is consider as internet crime.
