Back to our kampung
We went back to both Darling and my hometowns last weekend. The journey back to my hometown in Melaka was extremely tiring due to the most horrible jam we had ever encountered. We started our journey at 11.30am only to arrive at my mom’s place at 5.30pm with one quick stop at KFC along the way to fill our empty tummy If not for my cousin’s wedding, we would have made a detour back to KL and come back to visit my parents some other time when it is not a super peak festive weekend.
Nevertheless, we had a great time in Melaka. The boys get to play with my cousins’ children and I get to eat my mom’s delicious home-cooked food.
I’m so used to getting my boys to pose for me for pictures effortlessly so when I see these children together, naturally I requested for a photo op too. What I did not expect was how tricky it was to get them to stand still for even a second for me to get a proper pic. It was almost impossible until my cousin bribed them with candy canes as you can clearly see the girl in pink is still busy trying to unwrap her candy
It was easier to get a video of them in motion though. Now I know, next time I won’t take pictures, I take videos
See, I can get pictures of my boys effortlessly though Ayden had to force a smile. Haha.
Can you feel Ayden’s impatiently wanting to scoot away from me and cruise on the road? LoL.
Ok, Ok… one more pic and you both are free to go play
We stayed for two nights before leaving Melaka. We head on to Seremban to Darling’s family before making our way back to KL.
Look what greeted me at Darling’s parent’s place?
D24 from my FIL’s orchard.
He quickly cut open some durians for me when he saw us arriving. Aww.. At times like this I super love my father-in-law
There were some cute ones too. Too cute to be eaten but I ate them anyway.
Ayden followed my father-in-law to pluck some rambutans at the back of the house.
Nothing is sweeter than eating the fruits of his own labour
My FIL packed some durians, rambutans and even mangosteens for us to bring back to KL.
I heard there will be more durians in the orchard this weekend. I think I wanna tell Darling to bring me back to Seremban again then. Did I tell you I love my in-laws very much? Hahahahaha
Everyone was complaining about driving into Melaka that day, such terrible jams, stuck for hours.
Ayden’s so slim now, eh? Looks taller too. Ethan looks like he’s put on some weight.
Nothing makes parents and grandparents happier than having the family home, should go back more often.
I feel you. Never able to get good pics of all kids look directly at the camera. Definitely there would be one looking elsewhere or mind his own business. Lol. Video sounds like better idea.
So much fruits at your in-laws’. School is next week. Still have time to go back to your in-laws’ for new year celebration. ^^
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you and your boys!!
Happy New Year to you and your family! Lucky you get to eat durians grown by your Father in Law. Must be delicious!
Wah home-grown Durian, are they organic? Hehe, jealous lah! Got Rambutan and mangosteen somemore!
