Pao Xiang Bak Kut Teh @ Awana SkyCentral

One fact you should know about me is that I dislike hot weather nor can I stand cold temperatures. Last weekend when we were up in Resorts World Genting, it was extremely cold at 16C during the day.

The view from the car park.

It was so foggy, vision was extremely limited. It was that cold.

I had to drink something hot to warm me up otherwise I’ll be walking around with a leaking nose for sure.

Thank goodness there is a bak kut teh shop in Awana SkyCentral.

The Awana SkyCentral is home to the Awana Transport Hub (Level 1) and Awana SkyWay (Awana Station, Level 4). Spread over Levels 2 and 3 are more than 20 dining, retail and service outlets.

I ordered just a bowl of Pai Kut BKT for me alone coz the boys were not hungry yet.

Pai Kut (Rib bones) Bak Kut Teh (RM23.32)

We also ordered a plate of vege to share.

Vegetables up here sure does not come cheap at RM20.14 for that plate we had.

Please excuse my expressionless face as I enjoyed the thick, herbal soup that got my blood flowing again to the point I can remove my jacket as I no longer feel cold. Haha.

Ethan took a bite of the meat and immediately fell in love with the juicy and tender meat. He helped me eat most of it while I finished the broth.

Pao Xiang Bah Kut Teh is located at:
Lot 2-9, Level 2, Awana SkyWay Station,
Genting Highlands Resort,
69000 Genting Highlands,
Pahang

16C is pretty cold for me too. Gosh. So foggy. Year end weather, slightly colder. The last time I went up there it was in August. Not so cold but windy. Freezing as well!!

Bak kut teh on such cold day is great to warm up your body. I love bkt. And that the usual veggie we would order too to go with our bkt.

I’m temperature sensitive too – not too hot and not too cold is my ideal :-). Though I’d still rather heat over cold.

That’s quite foggy, how to drive like that

Fortunately it only got foggy when we almost reaching the top hence we did not need to drive too long in foggy condition. The hubby drove very, very slowly…

Hey you said it was extremely cold but the herbal soup helped!!. LOLOL
I think BKT is definitely the best meals to eat in such weathers. Now I have bookmarked that my next trip to Genting would be BKT and Fish Head noodles.
