Mooncake Preview: Dynasty Restaurant (pork-free) Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel
Mid-Autumn festival is a popular festival among the Chinese with mooncakes being the traditional delicacy and a must-eat during the festivities.
Dynasty Restaurant (pork-free) at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel is offering a selection of 12 types of baked and snowskin mooncakes this year. The use of only pure and natural ingredients is the highlight of their handcrafted mooncakes and we were privileged to be invited to sample their collection recently.
Be it the baked classics or the snowskin ones, these mooncakes are available for purchase at Dynasty Restaurant from 29 August to 4 October 2017 and at Mid Valley Megamall from 14 September to 4 October 2017.
For the baked mooncakes, there are choices of traditional mooncakes (4 pieces per box) or baked mini mooncakes (6 pieces per box).
From classic favourites such as Red Bean Paste, White Lotus Paste, Pandan Lotus Paste with Single Salted Yolk to Dynasty’s modern new flavours this season Red Pitaya Lotus Paste with Mango baked mooncake, Honey Lotus Paste with Chocolate snowskin mooncake, Yam Paste with Single Egg Yolk snowskin mooncake, Alisan Tea Paste with Green Tea snowskin mooncake and Chinese Chestnut Paste with Egg Yolk snowskin mooncake, there is surely something that you’ll love.
Ayden’s favourite is easily the Bamboo Charcoal Green Tea with Black Sesame (Low Sugar) priced at RM28 for the regular size and RM20 for a mini.
Other than the Bamboo Charcoal Green Tea with Black Sesame, other Low Sugar options are the White Lotus Paste with Single Salted Yolk and also Shanghai Lotus Paste with Single Salted Yolk.
Honey Lotus Paste with Chocolate (RM18) is one of the new flavors at Dynasty Restaurant this season that will go well with kids as well as adults. After all, how many of us can say NO to chocolate?
Alisan Tea Paste with Green Tea (RM18)Â is another flavour to look out for a refreshing taste. It is light and not too sweet.Â
We were also privileged to get to sample Dynasty Restaurant’s signature Peking Duck and some other remarkable classic Chinese dishes that evening.Â
Expertly crafted Peking duck; skillfully sliced before us.Â
Mouth-watering thin, crisp skin served in a pancake.
Back to the mooncakes, they are ideal as gifts for business associates, family and friends. The mooncakes are packaged in signature boxes with any choice of 4 pieces of traditional mooncakes, 6 pieces of baked mini mooncakes or 6 pieces of mini snow skin.Â

Yeah! Time for mooncakes! Not that I am super crazy about it, but I dont mind indulge in pandan or white lotus mooncakes.
Your boys ate so many mooncakes even before the festival is here. Hehe.
Love the gift box. Now packaging is an important part of mooncake. And hence the price. ^^
I like the snow skin mooncakes more than the baked variety. They seem to be coming up with some really interesting flavours.
Oh me oh my!!! I love Peking duck!!! Drool! Drool!!! I cuma dapat tengok saja lah. Sobssss!!!!!
