Pantai Sentral Park – An urban forest city with a green lung
It was 5.30am on a Saturday morning. My phone alarm rang. It felt like I have just gone to sleep the minute before. I have not had a good night’s sleep for a while as Ayden had been under the weather; having had to skip class the past couple of days.
A friend told me there is this place in the city that boast of lush, green forest. He said the morning sunshine and crisp, fresh air may benefit Ayden so here I am, awake in the wee hours in morning to prepare for a picnic.
If only I am living next to a forest, I would not have to wake up this early
Anyway, after I was done preparing, I woke the entire squad up and about an hour later we are here:
Taman Rimba Bukit Kerinchi
Wow! Am I the only one who doesn’t know such a place exists in the Klang Valley? This is a 200-acre forest reserve we are talking about.
I wish I am staying nearby so I can come here often as there are so many things to do here – picnic, jogging, hiking and even camping. I am not too sure about Taman Edible though. I did not explore that deep today.
We picked a spot by the stream to set up our picnic. The boys were extremely excited as this is actually their first time having a picnic in a forest.
The morning breeze was very refreshing so we decided to take a leisurely walk around the park and met many joggers along the way.
There is this hanging bridge that brings us across the stream. The boys love it very much and kept walking on it.
Ayden said he is not afraid to be on this bridge. Brave little boy I have there
Apparently this Taman Rimba Bukit Kerinchi is also a popular hiking spot as we met many hikers.
There are two categories of hiking trails here; one is children friendly and the other is for serious hikers only. We’ll definitely come again to explore the child friendly trail in the near future as the boys were not wearing proper shoes today.
I really love it here; basking in the morning sunshine and filling our lungs with clean, fresh air while listening to the birds chirping and the sounds of the water running through the stream.
Words can’t describe how wonderful it is to be this close to nature. During those hours we were here, we spent quality time talking and interacting with each other. No gadgets coz there is no 4G here in the forest. No 3G also. All I got was an E on my phone so into the bag it goes.
My happy boys.
After spending a couple of hours here, we packed our stuffs and ready to go home. On our way out barely a couple of kilometres away, we spotted ICE Gallery @ Pantai Sentral Park and decided to check it out.
Wow, an intergrated township just next to this superb green lung.
IJM Land’s Pantai Sentral Park is a mixed-use development with 7 residential phases and 6 commercial phases situated within the 200-acre forest in Bukit Kerinchi.
Adjacent to the Bukit Gasing forest reserve, future residents of Pantai Sentral Park will have the chance to live, play and work in the integrated township like no other 😍
Located in the heart of the new Golden Triangle, the township is connected to commercial, retail and residential hotspots like Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur, Bangsar and Mid Valley City.
With the upcoming PSP Interchange, to be completed in 2018, residents will also have the chance to have smoother drives to the New Pantai Express Way (NPE) and have closer access to Old Klang Road, Sunway, Subang Jaya and other townships in Klang Valley.
Upcoming PSP interchange
Free shuttle bus service to LRT Kerinchi is also available here. Besides LRT, there is also a KTM station nearby.
We also visited the show units for SECOYA and INWOOD Residences because it is no secret that I LOVE interior design and goes around taking pictures of show houses for future reference and ideas
What an ingenious way to store our reading glasses
Look, don’t dispose your old books. Use them as decor.
Cheeky little Ayden using the massage chair available at the gallery.
If we are going to upgrade our house, I know we will definitely take the properties at Pantai Sentral Park into consideration as they are located next to a forest reserve so we can be sure the lush greeneries are here to stay.
The pedestrian walk here is separated by shrubs making it safer for us to walk around. Ideal environment to raise my boys.
I am sold-lah…
So cute, that Ayden in the last pic.
They should have more of such places here, there and everywhere…not all those skyscrapers making a city look like a cemetery with lots of tombstones all over, a concrete jungle.
Places like this are very rare these days especially in the city. To have a home next to a forest reserve will be a dream come true for me.
Ayden looks like he’s having a wonderful time in that massage chair!
He was. Good to see him all smiles and full of energy after being under the weather for quite some time.
Hope the little boy has recovered well. I do believe on bringing the kids out for natural activities.
I love this place. So much green. Picnic!! My kids would love that.
530am on Saturday?? I were still in dreamland till 630 yesterday. Jan has music theory exam at 9am so it was an early Saturday for me and kids. I dont mind waking up early on Saturday once a while but not every Saturday. ^^
5.30am. I know right. I would rather sleep in too. But it was all worth it. The kids enjoyed their picnic and time with nature and even requested to do this again soon.
Quick! Buy your new dream house here! :)
Yes sir. Yes sir! I’m already at the bank now calculating how much money I have. Haha.
Great place for picnic, but are there any monkeys just like what I’ve met in TTDI park >_<
None that I came across that day. We ate bananas yet no monkey come visiting our picnic spot? LoL.
You are so dedicated to wake up so early so that everyone can enjoy a day at the park and fresh air. Thank you for sharing about this Taman Rimba Bukit Kerinchi. Will definitely pay it a visit.
It was worth it to see the boys glowing in delight. We’ll do this again for sure. That’s why I wish I am staying closer so I don’t need to wake up so early -.-
I love the warmth of your loving family photos, The red checked picnic cloth is so English and pretty with you guys holding bananas & sandwich! Bwahahahaha Nice!
I am also like you and would bury myself inside the show houses for their cozy & chic interior ideas.
It is definitely nice to live next to a real green forest! I am living close to another forest too.
