Did you manage to catch the much hyped meteor shower last weekend? I did not but I was at Dorsett Grand Subang and we caught the blue moon glowing brightly, smiling down at us.

Master Chef Alex Chan of The Emperor Chinese Restaurant handcrafts the popular Halal classic mooncakes with a twist and his creations is already available from 13 August until 4 October 2017.

Blue Crystal Skin Pandan Lotus Paste with Single Yolk (RM30)

The hotel’s signature mooncake for this year is the Blue Crystal Skin Pandan Lotus Paste with Single Yolk which embodies the Dorsett identity with its snow skin in bright blue hues derived from Bunga Telang extracts with no artificial colouring used.

Bunga Telang, also known as Blue Pea Flower contain antioxidants which can lower blood pressure as well as enhancing memory and brain power. 

Apart from the new blue mooncake, Dorsett Grand Subang also unveiled three new nutritious baked mooncake flavours – Six Coarse Grains Paste, Coconut Pandan Paste with Single Yolk and Green Tea Paste with Single Yolk.

Six Coarse Grains Paste (RM28)

The six grains in this mooncake: walnut, melon seeds, pumpkin seeds, rolled oats, black sesame and sunflower kernel makes it a wholesome Omega-3 rich treat.

Coconut Pandan Paste with Single Yolk (RM30)

The Coconut Pandan Paste combines two familiar local flavours and is said to relieve indigestion and flatulence while increasing good cholesterol.

Green Tea Paste with Single Yolk (RM30)

Green tea is known to be high in Vitamin C and other antioxidants which helps to fight free radicals.

Dorsett Grand Subang also offer traditional Pandan Lotus Paste and Red Bean Paste mooncakes.

The mooncakes are handmade and available for sale between 13 August and 4 October 2017 at Dorsett Grand Subang, Dorsett Kuala Lumpur, Dorsett Putrajaya, Silka Maytower Kuala Lumpur and Silka Cheras Kuala Lumpur. 

There is a 30% discount for bulk purchase of 30 boxes and above. Purchases made before 10 September 2017 are entitled to a 20% discount.
