Cook with Ayden: Honey Garlic Chicken
Hello there! A personal matter cropped up over the weekend and we were kept busy but let’s take a break and cook something simple and delicious today.
Little Ayden has a new Chef hat and apron courtesy of Uncle Kimmy. It fits perfectly and he loves it very much. Thank you Uncle Kimmy ♥
Today, Ayden will be sharing this super simple yet delicious recipe of Honey Garlic Chicken.
Ingredients:
6 chicken drumsticks
1/4 cup honey
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 teaspoon sesame seeds, toasted
2 tablespoons oil
A stalk of green onions, sliced for garnishing
Method:
1) Heat oil in pot. Fry garlic until fragrant.
2) Add chicken and continue frying.
3) In a bowl, add honey and soy sauce into a little water and mix.
4) Pour the mixture into the chicken and let it simmer.
5) Mix cornflour with water and mix well.
6) Pour cornflour and let it mix with the chicken until thickens.
7) Add toasted sesame seed.
8) Garnish with spring onion.
Children will definitely love this deliciously sweet dish.

It’s just a normal rice cooker :)
Ayden looks good in his new Junior Chef attire! He is so patient to kiap each piece of chicken meat individually into the cooker. I like the last part the best – where he is eating the meals that he has cooked. Yums Yums! Sedaaaap!
