Jazzy Sunday Brunch @ Hotel Equatorial Melaka
We all look forward to weekends, don’t we? After all the hard work during the weekdays, it is a much sought after break to chill, unwind and recharge over the weekends with some good food and music.
Music affects us directly. We react differently to different types of music; upbeat songs make us excited while slower songs may make us sad. However, studies have shown that Jazz relieves stress. Jazz’s soothing melody helps us relax yet at the same time stimulates the mind making us more alert and energized. Couple that with good food and we get the perfect combination to de-stress.
We did just that over the Jazzy Sunday Brunch at Hotel Equatorial Melaka last Sunday.
Hotel Equatorial Melaka brings dining to a whole new level with their Jazzy Sunday Brunch. We get to enjoy great food while being serenaded by their resident artist, Nadia.
Resident Jazz artist, beautiful Nadia performs live over Sunday brunch.
It was lovely dining to good food whilst listening to her mesmerizing, soothing voice.
Hotel Equatorial Melaka is also striving to get people to eat healthier hence they introduce this juice before meals to diners.
We were offered this thick concoction of guava and tomato juice to drink before having our meal for that big boost of vitamins and nutrients.
There are many LIVE COOKING STATIONS for this Jazzy Sunday Brunch. I love live cooking stations. Nothing beats having our meal freshly prepared before our eyes.
The first station we came across was this deep fried station where baby squid kebab, prawn kebab and marinated fish can be found.
One of my favourite station is the Mongolian Corner
We had over 5 servings from this Mongolian Corner as we simply love their fresh, succulent prawns.
The succulent prawns from the Mongolian Corner is to die for. Totally recommended!
My next favourite station is this BBQ Station. Their lamb is one of the best I’ve ever eaten.
Such a generous slab of juicy and meaty lamb that just wont fit on my plate. I had three servings of this tender and juicy lamb chop with mint sauce. Thinking back I don’t know how I managed to get all those inside my tiny stomach
The boys as usual will always request for pasta hence this is their favourite station. Spaghetti bolognese was their choice that evening.
There is also a roti canai station that serves some awesomely crispy and buttery flat bread.
Roti kosong for the boys. My roti telor banjir was fabulous but I forgotten to take a picture of it
Kids go crazy at this corner – Teppanyaki Ice Cream and Macarons.
Just look at those macaron towers!
These marshmallows drove my boys hyper!
Besides those live cooking stations, they also have buffet spread with items such as fried rice, lasagna and more.
Fancy some satay? Yes please!
Desserts to de-stress!
My boys enjoying their ice-cream cones at the end of our meal. Yes, besides the teppanyaki ice-cream, they also have assorted flavours ice-creams and cones.

A good price for tasty buffet. If only I live in Melaka. Can see Both your boys like the ice cream a lot.
I love live music but I am not really into jazz. Never mind, I just enjoy the food – lovely buffet spread there.
I love this buffet spread and the price is very reasonable. I am attracted to the Mongolian dish as this is new to me. My eyes went big to look at the colourful macaron tower! I would love to munch them with hot black coffee.
Freshly made roti canai, can I have 2 please, one for Sam and another for myself!
That marshmallow tower will make Sam scream with excitement!
